The term ringspun refers to the process used to manufacture this type of cotton. The yarn produced is stronger and longer, soft, extremely durable, and free from the rough texture of typical raw cotton. The process of continuous spinning, twisting, and thinning of the cotton fibers yields long, soft threads. Moreover, the fibers are compressed in a way that produces a very strong and durable material.
