It has few applications, it doesn't have a camera, I would have liked it to have simple applications and at least a 2MP camera for a call, the call quality is good, but if there is noise, you can't hear anything, and also the battery is very small, if you use it, the battery is dead in an hour and a half

I wanted a mobile phone only for calls. However, this one is too simple. I would have liked it to have more ringtone options. I also expected it to have a timer and countdown, which it doesn't have. Finally, I didn't realize before purchasing that it doesn't have any Greek letters at all. Overall, I believe that there should be better phones in this category that I was looking for.
Born in 1996. I remember when I was little, I would take my grandmother's then Nokia 3310 and play games like the classic snake and one I remember with an orange ball. This particular phone brought back memories of my childhood. Fast forward to 2021 Military service. I hear from cousins, friends, acquaintances a thousand and one things about what to take, what not to take with you. I say let them talk as the treatment and comfort soldiers have change from camp to camp, so I did the usual. That was to buy a phone without a camera to keep my mind at ease at least for the first 20 something days of basic training (because after you go to a unit, there’s no stealing). Not to brag, this particular phone goes everywhere because it doesn’t have a camera. It has very good colors, a flashlight on top that lights up brightly at night (for those of you on guard duty who want to hear who or what is out there in the pitch black night), supports only a regular SIM (the big one). It doesn’t take memory expansion but you don’t need it. Since the device is only for calls, text messages, and that’s it. Just like phones used to be before they became pocket-sized computers. The phone comes in black, blue, and pink. Personally, I bought the black one because in the army you will get quite dirty. So that nothing shows up too prominently on the device. Also, the radio will keep you company on guard duty.
Positives in conclusion:

It has games like snake, aliens that you shoot with a spaceship, a bunch where you collect gifts that fall, and Tetris.
Very strong sound on calls and a very good microphone, I had no issues, my parents could hear me everywhere.
The phone has a sturdy build; it fell out of my pocket from the tower before I made my first test parachute jump, and after the kids down found the battery and the cover and put them back on, it worked normally along with the screen.
The phone is only for messages and calls.
The radio picks up everywhere.
Also, even though it’s 2G, I had no issues getting a signal; it was always clear.
Negatives:
It’s not a modern phone for those who are younger and looking at it, meaning forget social media and the internet in general.
It doesn’t take songs or memory expansion.
I hope I helped soldiers looking for something economical (at least for the first 20 days of service, after that bring your regular one) because depending on the camp, you don’t know what kind of people you will be with during your service. I recommend it to prospective soldiers and elderly relatives.
My life has come full circle with the same family of phones, which is quite funny :) From 5-6 to 25 Nokia.
12/3/2021: I spent all of basic training with this particular phone. I have to say that if you talk a lot on the phone, its battery will drop like water. Prefer it mainly for SMS which are also easier socially as you don’t give rights/you’re not at risk of being caught by an officer with the phone in hand. Only with SMS and to check the time, it easily lasts a week. If you talk to your parents for 30+ minutes, the battery easily loses 25% or more. I clearly noticed this during the first 20 days of training. Now that I have leave for my swearing-in, I have to say it’s a very good choice as when an officer shows up, you can easily hide it due to its small size under your tunic with your fingers; a quick move and it’s gone. But make sure to enter with a regular phone because I personally went in with the mindset that smartphones are not allowed and ended up being the only one with a phone that does nothing beyond the basic functions of a phone. So as advice, to avoid getting bored in the first few days, take your regular phone but keep it on you when you go to your classification, and keep the old one in your bag in case they check it because they didn't even see mine inside. They just opened it. So don't go in as uptight as I did; things have changed a lot now.
Note because I forgot 16/1/2025: Greetings to the 375th class and the older ones, and courage to those reading this and feeling anxious. For me, a year has passed, but I changed 4 different camps. I entered relatively late (after school). My advice? Be open-minded and friendly people. Don't constantly avoid work, but wherever you can (without someone else from your unit getting involved), do it. A year was the case for me, and it passed slowly, but I have 5 good things to remember. Also, the good thing is that I can literally sleep anywhere
I had given it to my cousin who went to the army because he didn't have a camera. From what he told me, it had the Cypriot SIM card inside, so he was a soldier in Cyprus. He used it minimally for some calls and a little bit of radio on duty
I bought it for my grandma and it has done its job. For 20 euros, it can call all the ladies of the village and chat for as long as they want due to the good battery life
If you know what you're looking for, it's a very decent mobile phone. You know that you won't be able to take photos or shoot videos. Okay, if you agree with that, you buy it and it does its job just fine. It's not for young people, it's for the elderly or as a temporary solution or backup.
The review is about the Nokia 105, 4th edition (2019). It is a mediocre phone, ideal for soldiers who need a Nokia phone without a camera. And I say this because if someone wants a simple Nokia phone, there are better options available (e.g. Nokia 130, which I have used). Specifically for the Nokia 105:
- It has a slight delay in response when pressing an option in any menu.
- It asks for the security code every time I open it.
- It only has 6 tones for messages and calls.
- It can only be connected to a computer for charging and not for transferring files (e.g. audio files).
- Its keyboard is a bit difficult to use (definitely less comfortable than that of the Nokia 130).
- It accepts up to 2 standard-sized SIM cards.
- It has 6 games (I haven't tried them).
- It has a radio that only works if you connect headphones. You can open the speaker, however, the radio does not start without headphones and the speaker stops when you remove the headphones.
- It has a flashlight, clock, and calendar that function the same as in other Nokia models.
There at Nokia they are joking with us, only 10 digits for each contact. So how are we going to write Papadopoulos? And don't even mention having 2 phone numbers under one contact.
The Nokia 105 (2019 version) is by far the best option in the category of €30 and below. It is ideal for soldiers who are about to be presented as it does not have a camera, it is cheap but durable and has a flashlight. It is a sturdy construction with plastic of relatively better quality than its competitors. The screen is also relatively good, with a decent resolution and acceptable viewing angles. The buttons are somewhat small in size and close to each other, which may make it a bit difficult for someone with large fingers. The calls, which are also the main use of this device, are flawless - the sound comes out crystal clear from the speaker even in speakerphone mode. The fact that the device accepts two full-size SIM cards makes it a very attractive solution in many cases.
The biggest negatives of the device are definitely the minimal storage space (and the inability to expand it with a memory card) and the absence of a music playback application (which would only make sense if there was space on the phone to store the songs). The phone's memory allows only the storage of up to 2000 contacts and call/message logs.
In summary, the 105 serves almost exclusively for making calls and sending SMS messages, something that the device achieves flawlessly. It accepts two SIM cards and may be the best solution for young soldiers, although the lack of memory prohibits music playback.
