They require patience and thick socks at the beginning. A big advantage is that they are waterproof and do not slip.
I decided to switch from Timberland to something else.
Very poor shoe for the money they ask. Although the size was correct, there was a problem with the sole. It cuts the foot like a knife and becomes unbearable. I kept them hoping they would break in, I took them to a cobbler twice but nothing. In the end, I threw them away and bought Timberland again.
Very poor quality leather, very low quality. The sole is also a joke, even though the company claims it is Goodyear welted, it wears out very easily. There was a time when these boots cost 30 pounds and were more durable, now they are just a fashion statement for little girls.
I had them before 20+ years but they were from England, now they are from China. They still remain excellent boots, for the first 2 weeks it is good to wear them constantly until they take the shape of the foot, I also applied beeswax cream on them and they softened relatively easily without any injuries.
Very uncomfortable shoe. After a few wears, the situation improves somewhat, but at first, I felt like it was cutting my foot with a razor blade in the ankle area. With so much money, I expected something better.
These are the classic dr martens 1460 smooth.
Good construction and size as described. Unfortunately, this version is excessively hard. I recommend them if someone wants the ultimate classic version.
I exchanged them with the same design in Pascal version where the leather is much softer. Visually, the leather is duller.
It hits your foot in the beginning until it takes the shape of your foot. They are quite comfortable to walk in, as comfortable as all the other boots
Their quality is indeed good, but not like before when they were made in England.
Mine are from their factory in Laos!!! They also have factories in China, Thailand, and Vietnam.
They also have them in England, but they are quite more expensive and have a different leather.
Of course, they have the classic design of the 1460s (a bit wider than the made in England ones) with the soft air sole.
Definitely do not forget to apply the cream they make (wonder balsam) before the first use and regularly afterwards, to limit the leather breaking and the many cracks that occur.
They are very comfortable to wear all day.
Choose your size normally.
A little patience until their leather "breaks" and takes the shape of your feet.
Thick socks are necessary at the beginning and patience!!!
Once they are ready, you will see how comfy they are!!
Four stars because they are excessively expensive for what they offer. We are simply paying for the brand.
4 stars only because they hurt the back of the foot, I don't know if anything will change, the size is correct, I will update in a year.
Update: Dr. Martens are perfect, they have taken the shape of the foot and are comfortable now, after one year (+1 star)
The most uncomfortable thing I have ever put on my feet...
