The Pass Through system allows the entire cable to be pulled through the plug (the plug must also be Pass Through). The advantage over traditional crimping is that this system allows the wires to be drawn through the terminal evenly. Once the end is fully crimped, the crimping tool cuts off any excess wires from the plug, ensuring a much better and more precise crimping of the terminal.
