Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Only the first person who installs the software can access all the features. For example, we are 3 people in the house and with the Share Device process, each person can see the image transmitted by the camera, but they cannot activate or deactivate Home Mode or Away Mode, resulting in it being essentially very difficult or impossible to have full control of the camera if the one who has full access through the app installed on their phone is absent or, for example, is traveling, and the other family members want to set the camera to Home Mode or Away Mode. I don't see the logic behind this restriction and I think it makes the camera and the whole system set up by TP-LINK problematic.
I didn't expect to give it 1 star.
But I'm doing it because of the rave reviews that others have written about Tapo cameras in general. And let me explain:
In the years we live in (where the market is flooded with cameras for all budgets), it is unthinkable for a camera to require a monthly subscription to send a snapshot with an image to the mobile application when it detects motion.
I understand what TP-Link is trying to do, but are people going to become thieves? They have many services in TP-Care to charge for, cloud storage, video history, etc.
Is it possible for the Tapo series of a somewhat reliable company like most people consider TP-Link to ask for a monthly subscription for image notifications?
You can call it a "web camera," TP-Link gentlemen, but never a "Home Security Wi-Fi Camera."
So if you don't have the app open on your mobile when the motion detection notification comes and someone takes the camera and leaves, you won't see anything.
The response from TP-Link:
-----------
Good morning,
Rich notifications are only available with the subscription.

To those who immediately jump to say something like "what did you expect with this price" or "you should have bought a more serious and expensive camera," I would like to say that for the purpose I bought it, I didn't want high security but something completely basic, which it doesn't even offer like other Chinese cameras of similar price.
Let them remove the label "Security Camera" and then we'll talk.
I knew what I was buying! The best wide angle, if you place it in a corner you can see the whole room!
Easy installation wide-angle lens very good for indoor use if it is a hallway because the wide-angle only works sideways you can turn it 90 degrees and cover the entire hallway it works better
Excellent image and build quality. At the price it has, there is no need for a second thought about buying it!
As another buyer mentioned, it is not reasonable for a camera to require a monthly subscription in order to send notifications. The image quality is average and the sound quality is also average. The owner of the eufy cam is worth a thousand times more!
Critical very easy to install has many settings has discreet led rays for night do not expect to have the same image as during the day is satisfactory can be screwed to a wall with a hoop is for indoor use but if you want you can also put it outdoors but it should be sheltered from rain is wide-angle and has a very large plan the cable is two meters and 95 centimeters almost 3 meters quite large works wirelessly wi-fi only there is no slot for a cable like the C 20 the only drawback is that it does not rotate for rotation c 200 or c 510 or 500 the last two are for outdoor use but you can also put them indoors if it is a hallway turn the camera 90° sideways and the wide-angle will work and you will see the whole hallway it works much better so if you have it vertically it only works when it is in a room or in an open space
Wide-angle 2K lens they say, but you can't call the image quality satisfactory...
It's a shame though that these cameras generally don't have brightness and contrast adjustment...
One relies on the automatic adjustment made by the camera...
Night mode, however, needs to be manually adjusted...
It also has 30 days of free cloud storage... Then we'll see what extra cost it will have... In any case, I subscribe to cloud storage for all my devices to have data backups elsewhere...
The power cable is relatively long...
It has motion detection with sound and flash notification...
It has two infrared LEDs for night vision...
The microphone sounds somewhat off... The speaker seems weak to me...
It has a wall mount...
Tapo app for application...
Accepts memory card 8-256...
It doesn't have Ethernet LAN, but its WiFi signal is quite strong...
Quite good for the money I paid. The sound is not that great, but overall if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a camera, it's quite good. It has a long cable, about 3m, so you can place it somewhere high
In everything, it meets expectations based on price. The microphone is good, the speaker is terrible!!!!
For the features it officially offers and for the money, this is among the best choices if not the best.
However, I consider it a mobile camera and not permanently screwed/placed, there are other cameras for this role.
Its small circular base is a small disadvantage and needs extra support with some patent (due to the wind for example) for (semi) outdoor use.
For its small size and operation through its own app, it provides various ways of use.
I found the installation and use of the app easy and simple, it is known that different camera apps are usually multifunctional.
For example, in an external position (under a shelter) for temporary use of covering the back entrance and garage, but also indoors in semi-darkness or light, it had a very satisfactory image clarity.
There are also videos on YouTube that demonstrate the image clarity of it.
Certainly, it does not provide high-resolution quality like a camera that costs 150 or 250 euros.
Good value for its price (28€), but it requires a mobile application to monitor it. Monitoring from a PC can only be done through the rtsp protocol, so its functions are quite limited. I recommend it only for completely amateur use.

From the image and connection, everything is good, but there is an issue with the sound of the Tapo cameras C200 & C110
