Faucet water filter. Fits most commercial faucets.
Includes a replacement water filter.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
It runs from everywhere. The butterfly doesn't isolate well and it runs from both nozzles. I think the new ones have nothing to do with the old ones that had better quality.
The quality of construction has dropped significantly in recent years. Replacement filters have become much more expensive.
The well-known filter that, despite the poor quality of materials (after a while, it leaks from everywhere), has good water quality at a relatively low price. WARNING!!! This specific one (white), although the description says "The filter included contains carbon etc. etc.", in the specifications, it states that it does NOT include a filter. So the box inside has a place for a replacement filter, which is missing. Of course, there is a sticker in Greek on the box that points this out, although the box in English says it includes it.
It's a good filter for home use. In Athens, with the cheap replacement filter, you're fine. One star less for the cheap build quality, but okay, if you handle it carefully and you're not rough with it, you can use it for quite a while.
It is not a good filter. Apart from dripping from various points, a black goo is created from the water that remains inside and falls into the water. The water continues to have a bad taste and is undrinkable, unfortunately we only use it for cooking but it doesn't even work for that in reality.
I had the same one for 6-7 years. Then it broke and I got the same one, but it fell apart in a year. It was leaking from everywhere. Very low quality materials. I'm considering changing a spare part, otherwise I will buy from another company.
I have been a customer and buyer of Instapure for many years, and I am very satisfied. Unfortunately, this particular purchase and filter are defective, specifically the water from the filter "splashes" and goes everywhere when it comes out, except into the glass. I was forced to buy another one from a different store which works perfectly.
Buy something more expensive. The quality of the plastics, the switch is poor. The water flow is not smooth. It leaks from various points, even if you install it properly. However, it removes chlorine, judging from the taste and smell.
Update: The price difference with better fitting filters is very large, especially in spare parts. If you don't mind spending extra money and don't care if it leaks left-right, get it. I have been satisfied with the water quality, but I change the filter every 3 months. I have been using this water for a long time in an aquarium without adding dechlorinator and the fish are doing great.
I have been using it for a long time and it is excellent.
When you boil water from this filter, you can see that the pot does not get any white residue.
I trust it
We had bought this specific filter when I was still underage, about 20 years ago, at the Thessaloniki exhibition, they had a booth.
And it still works without any real problem.
I recently got another one. The low-quality Chinese manufacturing is more than obvious.
I bought the filter at the end of January 2023 and have been using it since then, until recently. It is not recommended for two reasons: (1) The installation was problematic, as the included components did not fit our faucet and I had to improvise to install it. Well, it got done. It works, but it should have been much easier. (2) But the most important reason is that it does nothing to clean the water -- in fact, quite the opposite! Recently, I discovered with a TDS meter that the water quality from the filter is worse than the water quality straight from the faucet! It takes a special "talent" to produce a water filter that makes the water worse than before. Shameful!
The Chinese construction is of poor quality, as another customer also stated, if you don't have a sledgehammer, get it. Fortunately, the store took it back and replaced it with a geyser and the water is much cleaner and odorless
I ordered the device with 4+1 filters (€70) and it took me a bit over an hour to install, trying to find the right combination with the seals, and now it doesn't splash and there are no leaks from anywhere. OK. Now to the point, I saved myself from carrying plastic, costs, etc., we drink water that is not lacking in taste, it's pleasant to drink, and I am satisfied. Now for the rest, it needs analysis, maybe at some point, I hope it does what it promises. If someone has done analyses, let us know. I don't give 5 stars because it's too early to judge a product in a week - 10 days.
27/11/2024 after almost 2 years I have to say that yes, it is economical, yes it does its job but it reminds me of the canyon "it always rains" it leaks from everywhere. The device is of low quality and at the first opportunity, as soon as the filters are finished, I will replace it.
I have been using the INSTAPURE filter for many years, this is the third one I am getting to replace the first filter after 10 years of use. I have been very satisfied all these years.
I have bought 2. It filters the water well but the rubber on the switch breaks quickly, resulting in water leaking from both sides... and both of them had the same problem
As for the construction quality, it is superior to cheap ones. The water is expectedly clean and neutral in taste.
It is good for soft city water, as it holds small solids and chlorine. Cheap and honest solution. In hard water, it won't last long. Replacement after a few years but it will have paid for itself.
Update: after a few years, switched to Siroflex. Easier installation and maintenance of the device. The Instapure doesn't withstand salts as a device.
If you don't have a blender, get it, it's amazing!! However, it's not a filter, it splashes water everywhere!! The worst thing ever
One of the biggest disappointments I have ever held in my hands. We pay 50 euros for plasticized garbage that will never be waterproofed. Anyone who respects themselves should not buy it, they will simply waste their time like me until they break it.
You can see the filter from the inside and you know more or less what it retains from the tap where you put it. It reduces the strong taste of chlorine from the tap where you drink water if you live in Athens.
Very good filter, finally we drink water and not chlorine... now as for the rest, I don't know to what extent it cleans
I have been using the filter for about a week. The tap water has a strange salty taste, I don't know if it's because it's a coastal area. On one hand, the water no longer smells bad, but on the other hand, it is still undrinkable. Neither for coffee nor for drinking, because the water is still salty. It's like it doesn't filter it
It does the job, cleans the water, but it has a problem with isolation. The water runs from both faucets simultaneously.
The product is one of the best on the market as it is the second set that I have purchased and I am completely satisfied. It does exactly what it describes without altering the taste of the water
Easy to use, easy to install. Depending on your needs, you can choose the filter that suits you, so you have an alternative even if you want something economical
I have been using it for the last 15 years. Often (every 2-3 years) the device breaks down. It could be due to the salts, it could be due to the cheap materials it is made of, it could be both, the fact is that somewhere, something will break. Also, with the type of filter I use (medium quality, R5), the water flows slowly and towards the end of the filter's life, it flows agonizingly slowly.
So why do I continue to buy it? Because it offers very good water quality at a reasonable price. I haven't had it analyzed, but the water it produces has absolutely no resemblance to tap water in taste, and it hasn't given us any other worrying samples (particles, etc.).
I would prefer if it was all made of stainless steel, cost €100, and I knew I would never have to buy another one. There are spare parts for all its components, and maybe it's worth trying to repair it at some point, but €20 for the device (not to mention the filters) every 3 years for good quality water is worth the expense.
It works perfectly for 6 years. I always use the R7 filter. This year I will change it just because the chrome on the outside has peeled off a bit over the years and purely for visual reasons I will get another one. I recommend it.
The installation instructions are not clear. ALL flanges must be installed for proper installation. At first, it leaked due to incorrect installation, but after installing it correctly, it has been working for months without any leaks.
