    I have been using them for years and my experience is generally positive. Very stable, does not damage the railing, easy to install. However, after a while, it will start to rust and the paint will peel off, but it remains fully functional. If someone is handy, you can simply sand it down and apply a primer on top to maintain it. It is not stainless steel nor is it advertised as such! So everything is fine.
