Second year we buy them, 2.5 years old this year. They always seem tight/hard at first, but then they soften. The little one runs comfortably, as if wearing sports shoes. They don't slip on water/tiles. However, they don't dry very quickly if they get wet. They are adjustable in 3 points (heel, ankle, instep) with Velcro. The sizes are big, we got 1 size smaller than his sports shoes.
