I have been through several bases, I found this one on offer for 26-27 euros and bought it for use mainly in company cars.

Regarding the support

The base does not come attached to the holder, there are instructions to assemble it, it needs careful tightening so as not to break. On the road generally OK, the magnet has never disappointed me (I wear a spigen case with magsafe, iPhone 12 Pro user). It is more likely to remove the base with the phone than to fall from its position. It is more likely that the back tightening will loosen and hang slightly.

Regarding charging

Wireless charging worked at first, after a month it has stopped working (without any accident happening). I would expect more reliability here.

The quality of the plastics is ok. You don't have the feeling of cheapness.

I would buy it for practicality and good magnet. I wouldn't buy it for the charging part.

Finally, the charging works correctly as it was a cable issue. The original packaging had a type c to type c which did not fit in my car that has a usb port. Probably what I initially used was problematic.

Even now in 5/2024, everything is perfect!

Good strong grip, the phone doesn't move either in upright or horizontal position. Satisfactory charging at 7 Watts for iPhone because it is Magsafe Compatible and not Made for MagSafe. Tested on iPhone 12 Pro. Worth its money.

I was extremely skeptical about buying this stand because reviews abroad mentioned that it didn't have a stable magnet to hold the weight of an iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, I decided to try it when the store told me I could return it if it didn't hold. So, I tested it with my wife in the passenger seat "hugging" the iPhone with her fingers (1-2 centimeters away, without touching it) to catch it if it fell. We tried driving through sharp turns, over 3 steep cement speed bumps near schools, as well as on a large dirt plot with potholes. In none of these cases did the phone fall, so I decided to keep the stand. Note: the case on the phone is a genuine Apple MagSafe, so that might play a role, and those who mentioned it falling might have been using third-party cases. However, what requires special attention is the placement of the "plug" that fits into the grille. It is extremely tight - excessively tight, in fact - and while this is positive for stability, if you try to insert it hastily and with great pressure, there is a risk of breaking the grille. So, be very careful, especially if the air vent grilles are thin. As for charging, I haven't tested it yet, and I will update when I do.
