The ends that attach to the seat (i-size) need to be pushed in as far as possible by pressing the child seat (it requires strength) towards the back of the car seat (try one side at a time and not the whole seat at once). This way, the child seat doesn't move. In the city, at low speeds, we don't use the strap to secure it to the car seat (because the putting in/taking out of the strap is inconvenient for short distances), but we have the passenger seat positioned further back so it rests there. I consider it a good purchase at a reasonable price.
