Perhaps the best choice for a phone with 12GB of RAM with almost pure Android. The 256GB internal memory, plus the ability to expand with a micro SD card, plus the very good price, beats other branded phones with double the price but poorer features....
I read a ton of reviews. Useless all of them. Everyone sees what they want to see, not the reality. I had a much cheaper one (Cubot X Plus) with a much more user-friendly menu. I read that it doesn't have all the useless "features" of Android. And what doesn't it have? A bunch of useless stuff. Anyway, it doesn't lag in everyday use, I didn't get it to play games, the sound is good, the calls are very good, the screen is excellent for me, and the battery lasts over two days with my usage, but in terms of the menu, it definitely doesn't get an excellent rating. The worst is Motorola's inspiration for the closing method. Here I give a zero rating.
Although the g22 disappointed me from the first week, it has shown very good performance so far. The protein. I said I wouldn't buy Motorola again, but I have some blind trust in their electronics because they focus exclusively on research and do not remain stagnant, just like the materials, which we find in many processors. The only thing I can say is that the g22 was a failure (huge). Let's hope that the g54 will make me come out smiling.
This phone is very good; I don't have many negatives (when it turns on, it lags a bit, but then it's okay). I would recommend it to anyone who wants good photos and a lot of space; also, for its price, it's the best and then some
VFM phone, for €160 it is just right. For someone who doesn't want to spend a fortune to get a phone, it's fine. Don't expect some amazing build quality, it's made of plastic. Nor an amazing camera, nor a screen, but it is decent and gets the job done.
Very good phone in all aspects for the use I bought it for my mother. It lasts 5 days with calls, messages, and a little Viber, which she wants, and it is quite fast and of good quality. No problems in the 3+ months she has had it in her hands.
The battery takes a little while to charge (two hours and a few minutes), but I don’t charge it to 100% because (the battery) would have a shorter lifespan. Rule: we should not fully charge batteries. Overall, it is very good, I am quite satisfied.
Guys, this mobile phone is simply amazing. I've had it for 7 months and it doesn't lag at all. It has a relatively good battery for its price, it's the best mobile phone. I will prefer Motorola for my future purchases
I bought it on January 24th of April and it simply inflated and burst in my hands like a pine resin cork. And it's still supposed to be under warranty. Bought it from a well-known big store for 160 euros and now supposedly it has been sent to the service center for evaluation and I have been instructed to have it replaced. However, I don't think I will get the same one back. It didn't even function properly, it would freeze at least 3 times a day. Unacceptable. I was using it for messaging and Viber for communication and it couldn't handle even a video or a game. Pathetic phone.
The mobile phone is very good for its price. I just happened to have a problem with the hotspot on two devices (from the same store). Both devices connect normally to other devices, but they don't have access to the internet. I eventually sent back the first one I bought for repair and they replaced it for me. The second one they sent me also had the same problem, so I sent it back as well... I don't think there will be a third time.
Purchased in January after losing Poco x3. After researching, I saw good reviews for Motorola and decided to make the switch after years with Xiaomi. (something that as I will write below, I regretted)
version
8/256
positives
1. Price (dirt cheap)
2. screen (although it's ips, it's decent with vibrant colors and 120hz)
3. nfc
4. 5g (although I don't think it handled 5g properly here)
negatives
1. BATTERY (One demand I have from my phones is their battery, and here we're talking about 3-4 charges a day, DISGUSTING
2. processor (although it generally did the job, it wasn't a powerhouse like I'm used to with Xiaomi)
3. Resale (I lost half the money I sold it for after 4 months of use)
4. camera (a very basic camera that does the job)
In summary, I would recommend spending an extra 100€ and splurging, I sold it and went back to Xiaomi with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5g and the difference is chaotic.
Bought it a month ago. The phone is amazing, bought it for around 160€, great value for money.
Excellent sound, camera, very good screen and lighting response depending on the environment you are in.
Fast charging and battery that lasts easily a whole day with heavy usage, comfortably a day and a half with moderate usage.
Plenty of options that help the user for better navigation and comfortable use of the phone.
Inside the package, it included a charger, earphones, and a case that was not mentioned in the description
Very good mobile phone in the 150 euro category. 3rd month of daily heavy use with demanding applications (delivery work on distribution platforms). During my work, it has never let me down. It doesn't lag at all. Camera is okay for photos, NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO. Excellent battery life and charges from 20% to 100% in 1 hour with the fast charger of 30 watts. A HARDWORKING MOBILE PHONE.
The first experience is tragic, I bought it a day ago from Germanos, during my first call on messenger for 25 minutes it literally overheated, I couldn't even hold it, by the way it wasn't even charging, but the worst part is that from the first minutes of the call it kept disconnecting and the person I was talking to couldn't hear me, this happened many times and it would reconnect after a few minutes, in the end I had to close it because I think it could have exploded in my hands, I should mention that all this happened while I had 5g activated on my phone.
For its money, perfect! It is 5g, mediatek 7020, with good battery, 120hz FHD screen, NFC, stereo dolby atmos, decent processor for everyday use, takes memory card up to 1 TB, has a good amount of ram and rom. RAM memory seems unable to be increased using part of the ROM, remains as it is. It has the classic hand movements - motorola functions: e.g. quick movement on the vertical axis automatically turns on the flashlight, quick movement on the horizontal axis opens the camera, etc. The only drawback for me, if considered a drawback, is the camera which although theoretically has OIS, does not seem to be anywhere, as well as the fact that the photos especially in low light are inferior to other mobile phones, e.g. in color performance or clarity. Inside the box there was the mobile phone, 20W charger, transparent case, sim tool and headphones (!!!!!). Overall, I think it has everything and for its money (purchase 154 euros) it doesn't get any better. P.S. Finally, it has a RAM memory boost from 8 to 10 so all good! It's been so long and it hasn't shown any issues!
I will make a lengthy review. I bought the phone for €133 with a one-month wait for delivery. It arrived in my hands at the beginning of Feb/24. It is the model XT2343-2 256GB/8GB nano sim+esim, and I mention this because it matters.
I come from a realme 7i 4/128, and my routine is to change devices every 2-3 years.
In the package, I received the device, charger, cable, transparent case, sim eject tool, and some wired hands-free headphones.
Environment
Completely bare with minimal bloatware. All the apps it offers can be restored (except for the system). As of 19/04/24, it now runs Android 14 (It is also listed for Android 15). It received all its updates quickly and easily. I set up the phone quickly.
Screen
TFT IPS LCD 6.5", Refresh rate 120Hz, 405ppi
Screen-to-body ratio ~85.5%
Display resolution 1080x2400 pixels (20:9)
Touch. Capacitive Multitouch Touch Sampling Rate: 240Hz
It has a smart option where the screen does not turn off if you are looking at it, even if you are not touching it, despite having a short lock time. For the very low price of the device, it couldn't have anything better. When the camera or microphone is activated, there is a bright indicator at the top right.
Photography.
Main camera (dual camera)
50 megapixels
2MP macro
f/2.4 1.75µm resolution 8160x6120 pixels
Video recording (Full HD (1920x1080) 30 fps, LED flash
Selfie cam 16 megapixels resolution 4608x3456 pixels
Video recording Full HD (1920x1080) no front flash
Focal aperture f/2.4 (aperture)
I use the camera only for my work (texts, components, manuals, disassembly, assembly), so I don't have a proper opinion regarding selfies or beauty filters and such. The selfie is somewhat dark, but for a device costing €150, it is satisfactory. Its camera is adequate for what I want (perhaps with the right settings, it could take impressive photos). It takes photos from very close up, quite clearly.
Sound: the Dolby Atmos system does an incredible job. Quite powerful and clear sound.
Battery charging duration.
LiPo: Li-Ion polymer (Non-removable) capacity: 5000 mAh
Charger: 20W Wired fast charging
The 5000mAh battery is satisfactory for a whole day. I charge it every night, and the battery the next night is between 30-50%. I talk relatively little, but I use the internet a lot daily. Over 5 hours of use per day (GPS-Bluetooth on).
The smart charging charges the phone to 80% and then stops. The remaining 20% is charged just before I wake up. From the alarm clock and the usage pattern, it knows my day. This way, it optimizes battery life.
Processor
64bit: MediaTek Dimensity 7020 (6nm)
Octa-core, 2 processors:
4x 2.2GHz ARM Cortex-A78 (Quad-core)
4x 2GHz ARM Cortex-A55 (Quad-core)
GPU graphical controller IMG BXM-8-256 (900MHz)
Clearly, the Dimensity 7020 is much better than the Mediatek g9x options. Fast, efficient 5G.
Sensors
Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor, compass, Face unlock
Fingerprint sensor (on the side and fast), Gyroscope, Proximity sensor.
Radio is not installed, but it accepts the FM radio app from Motorola Mobility LLC, which you can find on the Play Store and works very well (radio receiver).
I read in some comments about a hotspot issue; for me, whenever I needed to use it for my kids, it worked normally without overheating the device.
In the volume options, there is an option to enable subtitles for the videos and audio it plays. I haven't looked into it yet.
Yes, it has NFC and it works normally.
Conclusion
After 9 months of having it, I can say that the microphone of the device is amazing. I always sound clear and without problems.
It is definitely a phone that is worth more than its price. VFM. It is a very good choice. I would buy it again.
The transparent factory case has strange sides that feel sharp and are uncomfortable in the hand. (Photo)
I think that there is no better option up to 170 euros. I can't write much more because it arrived in my hands yesterday. I am just writing to inform that inside the package it contained a case, a charger (fast charger and all), and a charging cable, even though it was stated that it does not come with one. But what impressed me the most is that it also had headphones, which I haven't seen in a package for years! I will use it for a while and I will come back to update.
The mobile had what I was asking for in a device... beyond that, I didn't know that the second sim card was the new virtual esim... it's not written anywhere
Positive:
- Stock Android
- Good processor for its category (The phone doesn't lag and loads everything quickly)
- Strong speaker and good call quality
- Battery that lasts easily for two days with light usage and one day with heavy usage (data, GPS, games, etc.)
- The price of the phone in relation to what it offers is extremely low
So-so:
- I consider the camera quality to be average for the budget mobile phone category, as I have tried many models from other companies in the same category. However, it does the job perfectly fine for someone who doesn't have high demands...
- It could charge a bit faster (about an hour to go from 20% to 80%)
Negative:
- Average screen quality (IPS LCD)
- While the screen brightness is very good for indoor conditions, sometimes it's difficult to see everything perfectly in bright light...
- It heats up quite a bit when playing games (however, in everyday use like YouTube, social media, etc., it doesn't have a problem with temperature increase no matter how long you use it)
Conclusion: The Motorola proposition is very reliable, and at the price it is currently being sold, I believe it is highly worth it as a choice. Of course, the phone could be improved in some areas, but it will never be a concern for a regular user considering what it offers.
The mobile phone is quite good for its price, at least for me. 150 at most is okay, fast, medium to good camera, and very good for everyday use. But be careful with the IPS and the so-called good quality, it's really bad. It changes colors a bit when you move it. The colors are unbelievable, I haven't seen this on a mobile phone in a long time, and I have tried Samsung, Xiaomi, and LG.
I am completely satisfied with the G54. Until now, I had an iPhone and I decided to switch to avoid the excessive cost of a new iPhone. The G54 is wonderful, I really can't find any difference in its functionality. It is fast, takes fantastic photos, and installs any application I need very quickly. The sound is amazing, both during calls and when listening to music or watching a video/movie. It is very lightweight. The battery lasts as expected. Fantastic mobile phone, I highly recommend it.
Bought it from Kotsovolos.. I got it because I needed it quickly, so I bought it discounted. The price is very fair and it is clean without unnecessary applications.
For the past 8 years, I have only been buying Motorola, so I have a pretty good opinion.
On the positive side, based on the price, if someone searches for it, they can get it for €127... (8Gb/256).
+ The Motorola IPS LCD screen is very good. Compared to the OLED screens, I don't notice any difference (maybe a little in black). It also doesn't have a significant impact on battery consumption.
+ Amazing sound... Motorola has made great strides in the past 2 years.
+ The processor is also very powerful for its price.
+ Motorola's crystal AI talk is perhaps the best currently available.
+ The company has returned to normal sizes for its mobile phones... they are no longer bulky. Personally, I have chosen the regular version over the power edition because it is lighter.
+ Clean Android 13.
Negatives:
- Fast charge 20w...?! You can't really call it the fastest... it takes quite a while to charge. Even the g32, which is 4G, comes with a 33w charger... I don't know what they were thinking here... Timed, it took me about 2.5 hours to charge from 0%.
- The battery is not the best, especially compared to some Motorola phones that lasted me 2.5 days... here, I need to charge it after 1.5 days. I don't play games. Of course, the processor might be to blame here, as it is the first Motorola I have with a MediaTek chip.
- Sometimes the screen loses touch sensitivity... I don't know, maybe it's just me.
- The shape of the phone is square... It may not be convenient for some people to hold. Also, the power edition weighs around 200g.
- I heard that it will only receive one more upgrade from Android 13.
- Sometimes, after intense use, I feel that it gets a little warm from the back.
Let me start by saying that the phone DID NOT come with a protective case, although I read somewhere that it did. Maybe it has to do with the origin of the device. Just a heads up for potential buyers.
The phone has a mediocre feel in the hand. While the device looks compact, the sensation it gives off is somewhat cheap plastic.
The screen is quite beautiful, clear, and bright.
The camera seems to perform relatively well. It does great in well-lit areas. In low-light environments, on auto mode (if someone doesn't know how to tweak it and simply presses a button), it produces some noticeable noise.
The phone is very fast, loading everything comfortably and quickly. However, sometimes you get the feeling that there is a small input lag.
The sound quality is satisfactory.
Call quality is fine.
I got a bit tired at first with the setup, and the device and app updates took quite some time. Some Google services gave me trouble when trying to update them, without knowing if it's the device's or Google's fault.
For its price, it's a very good choice. It justifies it with the aforementioned features, and I seriously doubt there is something of higher quality (overall) at this price range.
Very good effort by Motorola after a long time. Phone with a lot of memory, 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, the version I have. Quite fast and lasts a whole day. I haven't had it for long, but it seems to be worth its money.
It is amazing. What initially interested me was the sound of the mobile phone, which is very loud. For me, who have a problem with my hearing in one ear, it is perfect.
Otherwise, very good in everything. For its price, it is an impeccable tool.
For the money, it is a very nice and fast mobile phone. The call quality is very good, with clear and strong sound isolation during calls. The internet and photo quality are satisfactory, although I haven't taken any videos yet. The storage space is huge and the Android 13 is very fast in transferring applications from the previous phone. I will come back if I see anything else...
Update 11/12: The battery is a beast. With everything open - WiFi, data, 5G calls - it lasts for two days and I still have 26% left...
Update 27/12: The battery lasts for three days with 17% left. It's a beast.
Update 11/3: The RAM memory can be increased from 8 to 10 if there is enough space in the storage. I have uploaded a screenshot.
Update 22/7/24: Increase the RAM memory from 8 to 16 and you will drive us crazy, Motorola!!!!!
I also upgraded and added an e-sim. The calls are much faster and clearer!
Of course, it has been running on Android 14 for a while now
The review I will write is about the purchase price of the mobile phone.
It was purchased on 08/11/2023 for 209€ and the impressions it has left me with are very positive. The package includes a 20W charger, USB Type-A to Type-C cable, transparent silicone case, and sim tray ejection tool. The screen does not have a pre-installed membrane. Let's now move on to the individual characteristics of the device:
Screen: 9/10. A very good IPS panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz that makes a difference compared to 60 Hz. It doesn't have the black of an AMOLED, but the overall result is excellent.
Chipset: 8/10. The Dimensity 7020 is quite powerful for everyday use (I don't play games so I don't have an opinion on this matter). Combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space, the phone runs smoothly.
O/S: 9.5/10 The device comes with Android 13 and the implementation by Motorola - Lenovo is stock Android with some minimal additions that can be uninstalled. Android as it should be... :-)
Battery: For my use, (calls, browsing, Viber - WhatsApp, social media, music) the battery lasts 28 hours. Charging takes about 1.5 hours from 0-100%, in my case from 20-80% in 45 minutes.
Camera: Satisfied with the photos and videos taken by this phone, especially in good lighting. I'm sure OIS helps a lot...
In summary: At ~210€ it is perhaps the best proposal at the moment. It is well worth the money it asks for.
I hope I helped.
Update 20/11/2023: I should add that the sound on calls is quite loud for clear conversation even in noisy environments. Also, I have not noticed any problems with connected Bluetooth headphones.
Update 05/06/2024: I will remove two stars due to poor update policy from Motorola, not because of the device. The phone is still running on Android 13 with a security patch from November 2023, while other phones (Redmi Note 13 5g) have received Android 14 with a security patch from May 2024.
Purchased for €169 with tax exemption. Initially, it is a fast phone. The photos are clear and of decent quality. The speakers are relatively loud, meeting the requirements of a regular user. The battery seems to easily last a day. What impressed me a lot is the Motorola application, with the customization options it provides. I will come back with an update on call quality.
