  I have been buying this specific model from Globe since 2011, in various colors (as well as the "Sabre," which is quite similar) and the reason is the uniqueness that no other shoe has: the "tongue" is integrated-glued with the rest of the shoe. The most comfortable for walking, without the need to tighten or tie the laces, which in this case serve as a decorative element. Truly, the most old-school and comfortable shoes that exist!!! Just what you need to elevate your streetwear look. However, Globe has unfortunately changed quite a bit the design, materials, and other details of this model, which has significantly downgraded the original and "authentic" Fusion shoe. Personally, I would say that the design/appearance of the shoe from 2011 has nothing to do with that of 2024 (much smaller volume, thinner laces, lower quality materials, etc.). Nevertheless, it remains an excellent shoe, especially for lovers of vintage and authentic streetwear. Compared to other branded and quite well-known skate brands, despite the fact that the quality of materials has dropped, it remains a fairly durable shoe. It is very unlikely that the sole will wear out or the inner lining will fray from putting it on and taking it off.

  *Note 1: Compared to the photos I uploaded, the shoe comes in a much more "ugly" -in my opinion- appearance and the reason is the excessive tightening of the laces. The images are after the "modification" and significant loosening of the laces, so that it satisfies my taste (I completely removed the laces and re-threaded them after pulling the 2 ends of the slots to the right and left to widen the shoe). Obviously, what Globe does, apart from everything else I mentioned, is to excessively tighten the laces to reduce the volume of the shoes so they fit into their quite small box (economy on cardboard too!). It goes without saying that after the modification I made, the shoes did not fit in the box with the lid closed (without being pressed/squished too much). Unacceptable in my opinion...

  *Note 2: I am not a skater and I have never rolled on a board in my life. I use these shoes only for style and for walking in the city, but I have noticed through my acquaintances that no skater wears these wonderful shoes anymore! I wonder why. Even though I am clueless, I believe they are IDEAL for skate.
