Talisker Whiskey Scotlandς Single Malt Made By The Sea 10 Years 45.8% 700ml

A whiskey with a full and rich body, intense aromas of smoke, notes of sea breeze and citrus. On the palate, it leaves a taste of dried fruits, traces of smoke, and a strong sense of barley-malt. Long, warm, and peppery finish.

The whiskey was excellent, but the stars are 4 purely for the subjective reason that I liked it, but not as much as I expected. It was somewhat too smoky for my tastes in the end.

Very good whiskey. Just from the smell, you can tell its quality. It brings you the taste of iodine and saltiness. It is definitely worth the money. With the addition of 2-3 drops of water, it goes to another level!

From the many comments and reviews, one can understand that Talisker has been very much loved by the Greeks, not necessarily because it is a very good whiskey, but because in Greece there weren't many smoky whiskeys. Excluding Lagavulin 16, which is on another level. Talisker gives you a full body, quite a bit of saltiness, good levels of smoke, but personally, I see that it has very little aftertaste. If you add drops of water, it becomes quite flat, indifferent, and light. Neat, at least you get all the smoke. For its price, there are much better smoky options like Bowmore 12. 3 stars.

  • Very good for someone who wants to experiment with malt whisky.. It has a salty aftertaste but is slightly smoky.. This whisky truly takes you on a journey, nothing like the common scotch... It's like being in a dream and surrounded by the North Sea and smoky barrels,, I imagine the Shutter Island of Di Caprio, that's how the landscape created by this masterpiece must be... I would prefer it to be a click less salty... 4 stars easily...

For an entry-level phase in peated single malt whisky, it's OK.
But that's it, there are definitely better options.
As for whether it's honest or not, just a reminder that the Arran 10 is in the same price range and is non-chill filtered and natural color...

In terms of value for money, it is the highest quality introduction to the world of whiskey smokers (and not only - better than Skye and Storm). One observation, however. The "every year better" applies to the quality of all Scottish whiskeys, which gradually decreases (in contrast to the price) in their attempt to meet the demand and "quench the thirst" of the newly rich Russians and Chinese.

Honest whiskey but in my opinion it could be priced at 30 euros per bottle and not 40+ for what it offers... If you have tried Lagavulin, it cannot be compared in terms of smoky flavor and aftertaste, but considering the price/quality ratio... it's okay.

An almost perfect single malt! I would say that this one is the definition of value for money! Highly recommended for beginners and even for blind purchases for those who enjoy smoky pleasures. Intense salty opening, like being hit by sea waves, and smoky! Smoky, I would say just enough to maintain balance in a well-balanced final product! It has nothing to envy except for very few things from the much more expensive and better smoky single malts...! I highly recommend buying it blindly!

I saw it on the Instagram profile of a guy in England. I bought it a few days before the winter holidays when I would have a week off. I can say that I enjoyed it for a week with Netflix and Ertflix!! The moment it enters your mouth, you understand that it has a unique taste!! It is smoky. Personally, I liked it! It was something different!! Plus, it is also affordable in price.

Strong smoky flavor with hints of sea and a peppery note at the end. Very good malt, you can dilute it with a few drops of water due to its strong flavor.

The new label is a graphic failure compared to the simple, classic old one (like the new Glenmorangie's). But here we have a legend of single malt. What is Talisker? I imagine malt spread on rocks splashed by the North Sea, gray sky, peat, iodine and smoke from spices in the air, cold that pierces our waterproof, oaks and lichens, and somehow this is Talisker if you could condense it into a bottle. It always manages to transport me.. If I can experience a seascape through a movie, a painting, etc., Talisker allows me to do it through taste. Exaggerations? You tell me, guys.

What can you say about this whiskey? Words are not enough to describe this feeling. The sea in the scent and the pepper at the end is like a whole experience - an incredible ritual. Worthy of only, only Macallan

The taste test was a tasty shock. My taste buds were delighted. AMAZING
Salty and smoky. Choose this one if you plan to drink more whiskey. It is so intense that it covers anything consumed after it.

Years lover of bourbon and without having much experience in Scotch, this single malt put Scotch in the game, incredible smoky aroma, perfectly balanced with great intensity.
And the price is very low compared to what it offers.

A strong whiskey with a pronounced salt aftertaste. As a first impression, it didn't impress me, but after it opened up and with many trials, I concluded that accompanied by dark chocolate, this particular MALT is definitely worth the choice!

    Rightfully called master malt.
A clearly aristocratic Scottish whiskey, which does not remind you that it is relatively young, but gives you the feeling that we are talking about something high premium.
Wonderful golden aroma, even better seductive scent that "intoxicates" you only from it. Extremely smokey flavor that culminates in the aftertaste. The woody aftertaste contributes even more to its smoky character, making the whiskey unique and special.
From the very first sip, you taste the saltiness of the sky island sea, which blends and soars with the other smoky characteristics.
It is strictly served without ice so as not to alter it, and there is no need to rush because it retains its flavor and aromas.
In conclusion, it is also Value for money as it is difficult (if not impossible) to find something similar at this price

Unfortunately, the cold filtration is no longer worth it. It is to such an extent that it does not resemble the old good one for its money, even Talisker that we all loved. You can find more in the review at https://youtu.be/OXDDUZdV9S8

If I'm not mistaken, when I tried the regular Talisker, I felt a lot more iodine and generally a sea scent and slightly smoky. In this particular one, however, everything is in greater harmony. Smoke and sea coexist harmoniously in this whiskey, making it easy to consume. For me, where I haven't tried many smoky ones apart from this and Laphroaig, in which the peat is very intense, I admit that Talisker is a little closer to my taste as it also has a slight sweetness, in addition to what I mentioned. Its price is exceptional, you will try something unique

Excellent with a moderate taste of tobacco and peat. Very good for newcomers in the category of smokers. Now, if someone doesn't like smoky flavors, they simply don't buy it.

If I want a sea flavor of tobacco, peat and other such things, I eat a smoked mackerel and enjoy it. Disgusting, to put it mildly, I give it two stars.

Although I recently started drinking whiskey, my opinion is that it lacks in terms of aroma, flavor, and less smokiness compared to Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Lagavoulin.

A balanced whiskey with salty and smoky notes, while also being sweet and goes down very smoothly. Long aftertaste, first brings out the light aromas, then the saltiness and finally comes the smokiness. I wouldn't call it complex, someone can easily understand it. Worth it!!

For anyone who likes a not very smoky flavor, it is the super ideal choice. With minimal water, it releases all its aromas. It is honest in price and ideal for all occasions.

It is a good whiskey, it's just not to my taste. I liked the smoky aftertaste it leaves at the end, but it has a very intense saltiness in the beginning that makes you think you're drinking seawater. That bothered me, but then it mellows out and leaves a smoky flavor. I won't throw it away, I'll just have it for many years to come.

I made a mistake for not trying it again. I am not an experienced tester, but its taste is very aromatic and flavorful. It seemed stronger than others, but maybe it's just my impression. It is meant to be sipped slowly, not for consumption. It is for the aroma and quality. Someone wrote about the scent it leaves in the glass, and I agree. It is very good. Anyway, it is worth its money.

What a nice drink!! I really enjoyed it and I'm preparing to make a second purchase. Amazing aroma, flavorful journey, slightly smoky, depending on one's taste of course. Personally, the tobacco in this is at the absolute tolerable limit. It's worth at least a try for our health
