The phone has a premium device feel, a very beautiful screen with nice colors, good cameras, the front one also shoots 4K video, I think it doesn't mention it in the specifications, and lastly, the battery easily lasts the day.
Excellent and always reliable, Samsung.
Ideal choice for a phone with capabilities and security (for transactions and payments) without spending a fortune.
It loses one star because it seems they sent me a used one???
I don't know...
The box was intact, but the device had been used before and was in another language
It has a serious problem with charging. Even though there is no water in the USB port, it shows an indication that it is not charging due to water. While I have tried solutions suggested on the internet, it is now clear that it is a software issue.
The phone is AMAZING. I've had it for almost 2 months and the battery lasts about a day to a day and a half with my usage. Really a big congratulations to Samsung for this upgrade.
After about a year of use, it’s time for me to evaluate it (the first smartphone I’ve had). I think the negatives are enough since the positives are advertised by them.
1 From the first day, there was a problem with the fingerprint sensor (maybe it’s an issue with my phone). As soon as I put on a screen protector, it got better, but several times you need to try again.
2 Overheating; to test it, I downloaded a few games (nothing crazy), and after about an hour, it was getting so hot that the game was lagging (the tests were in summer). In Hotspot, after 20 to 30 minutes, it starts to die from the heat, and of course, it lags (without a case).
3 Several times, apps lag, and I don’t know if it’s an app issue or a system issue.
4 e-sim; sometimes I have to deactivate it and reactivate it to get data, meaning it can suddenly malfunction and stop connecting, though this happens rarely.
5 For photos, nothing that will blow your mind. The 50mp is completely useless; you can’t zoom and use it on auto, they advertise it for nothing. Sometimes it can’t capture colors correctly, but the good thing is that it doesn’t have saturated and strange bright colors. For selfies, we’re not even discussing it; it’s completely trash. Also, since I often take photos of documents, I need to take 1 or 2 shots because it can’t focus everywhere, and again the edges are blurry (maybe it’s due to the f 1.8).
Zoom, okay, they don’t advertise it, but since it’s digital, you understand the results.
Judgment for the money you spend:
Finally, the 4k is decent, but if it had 60fps, it would be even more decent. Also, you only use electronic stabilization when you’re taking steady video shots for any minor shakes. That is, if you’re running and have electronic stabilization, your result will have a lot of blurriness.
Since I wanted it for work, I thought about getting an affordable one with a good camera mainly for video. If you think that for 300 euros you get all this, it’s okay but not perfect. For the negatives I mentioned, I’ll give it 3 ⭐️.
P.S. For the camera that I wanted, I think it would have been better to give another 150 for a camera and have more options with the same features. And maybe if I thought about it again, I would get a phone around 200 because it doesn’t offer me anything more that’s worth it.
Nice phone for its price (I have the 8/256 version). Very good battery, never disappoints (with normal use and charging optimization enabled with Max 80%). Good screen, not the brightest in its category, but it hasn't disappointed in outdoor sunlight. It hasn't lagged anywhere so far, has good touch response. I can't say I'm thrilled with the speed of face recognition and the fingerprint (I have a screen protector, so that might be the issue). Coming from a OnePlus 6T, I was quite disappointed with the performance in these areas. The camera also disappointed me a bit (of course, I'm just an amateur), as with a little zoom, the image gets quite distorted. Also, the video, even at 60fps, isn't what I expected. I guess it's due to the processor's limitations and not the camera's quality. Overall, a very decent phone for its price that could use some minor improvements.
Excellent phone. Premium build quality. Amazing display. It's very fast, thanks to the powerful Exynos 1480, which also manages the 5000mAh battery very well. The battery lasts me over a day with heavy use. Charging (10-95) takes just under an hour. Personally, it doesn't bother me, since I don't trust very fast charging, which affects battery lifespan. It takes very good photos. It has IP67 waterproofing. Samsung's One UI is beautiful and user-friendly, and it will receive 4 major updates. The only downside is the lack of a charger. Overall, the 274 euros I paid for it with an invoice from i-mob is worth it and more.
Excellent phone, buy it from anywhere except Kotsovolos, they are deceiving us, there is a big difference in prices, even with tax refund you pay the same and more expensive..
What has impressed me is the battery life. I've had it for three months and I've never run out any day.
Screen, photos, etc. are just fine.
The only negative compared to the Samsung S9 Plus that I had for 5-6 years is some details in the sound and notification settings that I don't have here, the notification light, and the wireless charging.
Other than that, it is much superior, naturally.
Very nice phone! 4-nanometer processor, the bezels a click smaller, external appearance, you might even confuse it with the regular S 24 due to the large shape of the cameras. The only complaint I have is about Samsung. Every year in December, they would release the new Android update. Unfortunately, they didn't do it this time and it still has Android 14. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it! The reason I didn't get Poco or Redmi is that they have Android 13 and might have received Android 14 on the same day.
Very good phone, fast and with a satisfactory battery.
On the negative side, the lack of fast charging and the cumbersome call - settings menu.
Overall, I am satisfied at the level of 300 euros.
Coming from a Samsung Galaxy A71, I have to say I am blown away. What can I say first, the speed, the build quality, its camera, for the money you spend (I paid €312) it is the perfect device for a phone in its category. A round of applause for Samsung for this masterpiece, I have to say!!!
The phone is a beast, quite powerful, doesn't lag, very nice premium appearance, camera is just fine. The only negative for me is the battery, which barely lasts a day and a half with normal use.
In my opinion, for the money, it is the best choice! The more I use it and discover its capabilities, the happier I am with the purchase. A rich phone in features as well as the camera. Some examples of shots taken under "difficult" conditions.
The phone has nothing bad about it; it is a perfect package. I use it only for photos; the phone takes very good photos with nice colors and shoots very nice video. I would prefer 1080/60 over 4k/30 because 30 frames are few. It is fast and has haptics that make it feel like an S24. Overall, for €300, it is worth it
Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, I can say that the phone is very good, I'm not sure why it's a new installation of the apps but I find it a click faster than what I had. As for the battery, it does charge slower but it also consumes slower throughout the day; if you're not a demanding user like me, it easily covers you with one charge a day. Photos and videos are one or maybe more clicks lower compared to what I had, but okay, and the price difference is huge, we can live with that. Overall, I am very satisfied.
I return to the battery, I am impressed, there must have been optimization in its operation and now it lasts a very long time. For example, on a cycling trip, the phone came out of my pocket several times for photos, navigation, maps, etc., and from morning to noon it went from 80% to 55%
I got the phone after the Xiaomi 12 Pro which was very slow. It is an excellent phone with a very good camera, battery lasting 2 days with normal use and reaching the evening with 30% left with very demanding use. It definitely worths its price and is a very high-quality phone, the best in the 300-350 euro category.
After years, I returned to Samsung. In a few words, it is a very good phone for the daily use of a person with classic habits, meaning social media, email, phone calls, and a few games, maybe a song now and then. Nice appearance, good quality materials, etc. Very good phone at a good price; what more could someone ask for? The only flaw for me personally is that I would like a slightly louder sound when playing music.
I've had it for two months, and I only have positive things to say. In terms of speed, it's just fine (I'm not a gamer), the battery life is great (charging every 2 or 3 days with plenty of use throughout the day), and it doesn't heat up much. Also, despite what is said online, unlocking with the finger is quick and trouble-free, as long as you place your finger in the right spot. If you're not hardcore gamers, there's no reason to pay double for the S series.
Coming from the Xiaomi series (8,10,11,12), I have to say that I am blown away by the functionality of the phone, the resolution of the photos, the battery life, and also what it says about not charging quickly; for me, it charges just fine with a 33W charger. I have very high demands from a phone since my work is done via mobile; I need a lot of space for photos and videos, very high resolution, and many apps that weigh down the system. However, this particular phone has compensated me; it is perfect, flawless, I have no words
The screen of this smartphone is several levels below the 3 previous models in terms of durability. Once it fell and the screen cracked. The previous models could withstand many drops and didn't get damaged at all without cases or anything. Additionally, the battery doesn't last long as other users have mentioned. Otherwise, it is very fast and without lags with a worthy smartphone camera. But Samsung's choice for me meant durability, and now that it doesn't imply that, I wouldn't choose this company again. Better to get a Chinese one, which also breaks easily, but at least they are cheap.
Replaced the A53 5G that I had for 2.5 years. The review is for the A55 5G model (8GB RAM/256GB ROM) and in comparison with my old phone.
The positives:
+ More robust construction, with glass front and back and metal frame, definitely needs a case and screen protection. The screen is slightly larger than that of the A53.
+ Faster processor and larger RAM, so there are no lags at all even with heavy use and many open applications.
+ Photos and videos are satisfactory for daytime and nighttime shots.
+ The battery lasts for about 24 hours with considerable use for calls, email, social media, light gaming; at night it needs charging but has about 30-40% left (I don't let it drain completely and I don't leave it on the charger all night).
+ Charging time with a 25W charger (extra purchase) takes about 1 hour if it is completely discharged.
+ The sound during phone calls is satisfactory and when playing music from the speakers it is excellent (with Dolby just like on the A53).
The negatives:
- The screen, although it is super AMOLED, has slightly less vibrant colors than the A53, I compared them side by side. However, it is more comfortable to use, especially at night.
- Heavier phone but you get used to it (the A53 had a lot of plastic).
- The fingerprint sensor sometimes doesn't catch immediately, but this was also an issue with the A53 to a worse degree.
Overall, I am satisfied with the A55, I have had it for about a month, we will see how it performs over time.
The phone is not worth it. Give half the money and get a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13, 14T for example. Or add a bit more and get an S23FE, S24... The camera is terrible. I have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S as a comparison and it was better in every way except for video. The front camera is the worst I have seen in the last 7 years. Not to mention it doesn't even have zoom! The photos are washed out, the third camera is a marketing trick. Non-existent. They say the battery will improve, we'll see. The charging is very slow. 25W in 2024-25 is an issue. It is very heavy, the risk of dropping it is huge, get a case. It is very beautiful, sturdy construction but that's not a reason for the good reviews. I haven't put the SIM in yet. If you can't spend more for something better, spend less and get something else. The A35 I assume won't be worse. The phone is brand new and it's slower than the previous one which is old and has a full memory. The Exynos is really bad. I wonder about the good reviews.
Very good! You feel like you are holding and working with much more expensive phones. The only downside is the feeling of weight and the uncomfortable edges of the aluminum bezel.
It's not worth that much money at all! The battery doesn't last a day! Late in the afternoon towards evening, it needs charging! Nothing special about the speed and the ringtone speaker is TERRIBLE!! If you are in an outdoor area with noise, you can't hear ANYTHING! I almost always talk on speakerphone! On my old phone, I had to lower the volume so that everyone wouldn't hear my conversation!
I can't understand, with the reviews, how the battery of this specific phone is. Some say the battery is excellent and others say the exact opposite that it is terrible!!...How this is possible I don't know...
Very good so far with one drawback. The fingerprint recognition. In the year 2024, it shouldn't be difficult to recognize, especially when you put a screen protector on, it shouldn't recognize it at all. Other than that, excellent.
1 month of use. A bit heavier than I would like, but I knew that, but excellent. Very fast with a battery that lasts quite a while. Seems like a very good upgrade from the A52 I had. The 8GB at 256 is quite good for multitasking and personally, the storage space is huge.
