The shoe is incredible! I use it for mountain running on difficult terrain with rocks and it feels like nothing, and my foot comes out rested. They don't slip, very good protection in front of the toes and overall you feel that your foot is safe. It is a shoe for many kilometers and for hiking use, I recommend it if you want something that can go the distance. If you want a shoe for speed in a race or a lighter, more specialized one, yes there are other options but without the durability of the Akasha.
The shoe is a war dog! I have had it for over 1.5 years with over 1,000 kilometers. Minimal hiking and the rest running on rocky mountains. It may feel hard underfoot but anyone who wants durability it's worth it. After 1.5 years the sole has started to wear down since I run on rugged terrain (and it took a long time).
5/5 stars.
A very good shoe in terms of durability against abuse and sole resilience; regarding hardness, it did not meet my expectations, and it also did not fit me well because it is quite narrow like a mold
The shoe is very powerful. At first it seemed hard to me, but I got used to it after 2 runs. It is very stable, with excellent breathability and fit on the foot.
Whatever you say about these shoes is little, I had the akasha first for 3 years and I got the akasha ll to replace them. The shoes are just as great as the previous model, whether you use them for running or hiking, with or without weight on you for short or long distances. The midsole is very comfortable and the grip is very good on all terrains, whether you are on dirt, forest, or rocky environment. Whether you are moving downhill or uphill, they will not let you down
The best thing I have ever worn in relation to Salomon, which has now lowered their quality. Generally, what I saw was that opinions differ on Skroutz, and if you want to choose the right La Sportiva shoe, check the official page for specifications to see which one suits you
Very good shoe overall, EXCEPT for shock absorption compared to other brands. Take this into consideration if you have knee discomfort or suspect you will develop it. These are my observations from 16 years of training and competing in the mountains. I hope I helped. Good kilometers to everyone!!
It is the second time I buy them because they are as lightweight as I want them to be and as protective as they should be. For me, they have the perfect balance between how "reinforced" they are and how well I feel my foot is gripping the mountain. Ideally, I would like them to be lighter and to have a thinner sole, but all the shoes I have tried with a lighter sole give me blisters during long races. So, although at first I wasn't thrilled because they seemed heavy and bulky, after using them in races, I realized that these are the shoes I should be wearing for races.
Exemplary setup for a mountain shoe. Excellent grip, weight may be slightly heavy, but fair trade-off for the absorption it provides on the trail. Very good quality materials in mesh and sole, which seem like they will withstand for a long time, even under 100km of training. Definitely go for a size up compared to other shoe brands. I will also note that it has a quite comfortable toe box, which allows ample space for movement in the toes, especially for my wide foot.
I have bought several models of Lasportiva and I must say that I have always been very satisfied with everything (fit, stability, and above all durability)... a few months ago I bought the Akasha 2! Due to an injury, I haven't run many kilometers, and what I have done is on dirt roads, not even trails and rough terrain, rocks, etc... Nevertheless, they have started to fall apart in various places... I don't know if it's just me, but something has definitely gone wrong! Maybe a material flaw! It's a shame because I always spoke about the durability of Lasportiva shoes compared to other brands
I am an amateur trail runner. I buy a new pair of shoes every 8-10 months, as they usually last me around 600-700 kilometers. I have worn the Dynafit Ultra 100, Hoka Speedgoat 4, an Inov-8 model that I can't remember, and now I have purchased the La Sportiva Akasha 2 because I am still searching for the perfect fit. Well, I wore them on a 10-kilometer route with 300 meters of elevation. They felt pretty good in all aspects. Both the grip and the durability of the materials seemed to be great. I had a generally good feeling throughout the run, and at some points, I must admit that they pulled me forward while I was going backward. I will speak completely honestly. I am 1.86 meters tall and weigh 83 kilograms. The Hoka Speedgoat is the best shoe I have ever worn, FOR MY OWN PREFERENCES. Among all the ones I mentioned before, the Hoka is the best. But again, I emphasize that this is based on my own preferences, as shoe choice is completely subjective and personal. Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied with the Akasha 2 and I definitely recommend it.
P.S.: I wear size 44.5 in trail shoes and have a little room to spare. For the La Sportiva, I got size 45.5 because the 45.5 fit me much better than the 45. So, be careful with the sizing, as La Sportiva shoes tend to run smaller compared to others.
Glove on the foot, very nice fit.
On the first run, the shoe feels like you've been wearing it for years.
Very comfortable on the foot.
I only have positive comments to make about the company La Sportiva Greece.
Definitely, the next shoe I will buy will be La Sportiva.
