The Ubiquiti Nanostation Loco M in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands feature 2x2 MIMO technology, making wireless links (WiFi Link) larger and better in terms of bandwidth range, data throughput rate, link distance, and reliability compared to any other outdoor WiFi device. With the Ubiquiti Nanostation Loco M outdoor wireless access points, you can achieve a Wi-Fi Link wireless connection of 5+ kilometers.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
On the positive side, it is reliable without interruptions in the connection. On the negative side, the difficulty in accessing the main settings page, and the fact that it does not cooperate with other brands (Comfast, Tenda) when in repeater mode due to the fact that when in repeater mode it only supports WEP
I have bought 2 pieces in 2017 and since then they have been playing continuously in a link of 350m with visual contact. They have stuck a few times but they have never bothered me. I haven't even looked for software updates since '17... Their use is for sharing a simple adsl between 2 houses in a village in the province. I can say that they have left me satisfied because even though they are outdoors (they don't mind the rain though), they have never bothered me nor required any maintenance.
I got it to catch the free wifi of the municipality from a distance of 200 meters without obstacles and share it at home in the village where I don't have a telephone with an old router I had. It did everything I wanted, very satisfied.
UPDATE. It caught the municipality's wifi beast at 12 kilometers (yes, 12 kilometers). The public hotspot is in the mountains, and I am in the plain without obstacles. It also shows that device as ubiquiti, maybe that's why they connect at such a distance. The speed is 3mbps and 75 signal strength.
10 meters of cat6a cable from the antenna to the router and all devices are connected to the router. I struggled with the router-antenna setup, but I found the right video on YouTube and saved myself...
After a while, my scooter burned. I thought the charger was burned, so I ordered a second one because the light didn't turn on. In the end, the external antenna was burned. I do not recommend it...
Excellent packaging and construction quality worthy of a company with such a name, but it could have been more efficient! It lacks both the best speeds and the best stability!
For the money, NO doesn't make it, it's wasted.. tenda o3 is better than this.
*It doesn't have a great range in a house with a shop, it reached about 450 meters on one line, so NO connection.
*It's very finicky if you mess with the IP settings, you might not be able to connect again, so you have to reconfigure.
*It also freezes several times and needs a reset, it only worked as an access point, it didn't work well with the other settings, it was a torture...
A house difference and did not make a connection with the router, I was forced to put 20 meters of utp cat 6 (a loss from there) to connect, it locked at 35 mbps from the router's 70.
I could write about many advantages, but I will mention a few. First of all, I have set up 3 m2 as an access point and two m2 clients at an angle of about 100 degrees. The access point does not see any straight ahead, it looks in between, and the signal is approximately -56db. The distance is more than 2 kilometers for both. I moved away from tplink and I am satisfied. It requires some extra knowledge when using a repeater because it only works with wep and Mac address, but I learned the hard way from lblink. I had a couple of freezes, but nothing significant in the one year that the access point has been working. I forgot to mention that I get up to 90% of the router's speed, and as I said, they work in a triangle with a total distance of 6 kilometers between them. These are definitely worth the money. In the future, I will trust the more expensive models in the 5-kilometer range for various reasons.
project province to village. placed on a rooftop television antenna and at a straight distance of 600 meters with direct line of sight to the village antenna located high up in the bell tower, the signal is -86 to -94 dbm, meaning it is poor, struggling to transmit and receive signals. I repeat, with direct line of sight to the village antenna. I expected something better for 50 euros from a reputable antenna. However, tested at shorter distances, it works perfectly and consistently. The advertised range is supposed to be much greater, unfortunately it is not.
The machine is incredible, it finds a signal from where you least expect it, in an area where the signal is difficult, it managed to catch and transmit easily, and in combination with an access point, it carried the signal inside the house and it doesn't drop at all, the signal is unreachable.
It was placed as an access point on the satellite dish web in order to provide WiFi in the garden (easily with a small trick to "go out" as high as possible).
The menu is "complex" and it is good to study it before the final placement as there are several settings that require attention. There are several enlightening videos on YouTube that can help.
WARNING: nothing in Greek.
At ~50 meters, the signal is at -55db which is satisfactory to work with.
Of course, the range is related to the angle (almost 180) and the obstacles that exist in between.
I am looking forward to seeing its durability over time.
It is a simple, lightweight, and compact construction that does not have any protrusions externally. For good measure, I also added an additional waterproofing at the point of entry of the ethernet cable.
Two identical ones were placed at a distance of 100m in the center of Athens, with many neighboring wifi networks which I was afraid of interference. (2.4GHz)
97% link quality and 144mbps speed! Ideal for low-cost internet connection sharing between buildings!
Excellent antenna, incredible software that requires a little familiarity, but once you learn it, the antenna rocks. It has an amazingly stable signal, easily captures all the "neighborhood" networks, thanks to the many options of AirOS that literally does everything.
Highly recommended, much better than the equivalent TPlink
Perfect in everything... strong signal for its size... stable and easy installation... Very good as both an AP and a Station.
I could have gotten a Router but the router would have provided a stronger signal. This antenna did not provide a signal even at 20m.
First of all, when I bought it, it arrived broken. I returned it and Ubnt (the manufacturer) did not admit that their product was defective. So, it took 2 weeks until they sent me the replacement. As soon as I received it, I installed it and set it up. The signal it provided was not even 20m... (If I made any mistake in the setup and someone knows, please inform me) I contacted Ubnt and they told me to refund my money.
Manufacturer with the synonymous name of construction reliability and software usability.
Excellent range and features, comfortably covering the networking needs of a 60-meter outdoor radius.
They don't understand anything about weather changes, I mean! :-)
