Mobile Screen Protectors

Hoco Pro Hd 0.15mm Hydrogel Screen Protector

The screen protector by Hoco is a film, specially designed to protect the screen only from dust and superficial scratches. It does not protect the screen in case of a drop, as it is thin. It does not affect the screen's functionality. Flexible, made of hydrogel, it is easily applied without forming bubbles and self-repairs from scratches. Provides excellent clarity but also increased reflections.

Review this product
  • -Rated 5 because as a hydrogel it does what it is intended to do. It really fixes scratches within 24 hours, for example, after marks from keys in a pocket.
-It has a softer touch than tempered glass, and it also does not degrade the touch functionality on the screen.
    Some points that need ATTENTION:
-It is difficult to achieve the ideal application on the first attempt, but a 2nd and 3rd will be needed. On the first one, half a year ago, a dust particle got trapped and some bubbles formed.
-The film can be pulled and repositioned, and the bubbles can be fixed. It does not leave permanent creases in the corners like tempered glass. However, dust does not come off except with water and very careful handling/drying. If a fingerprint is left on the application surface, it should not be cleaned with alcohol as it will burn and change the color of the film. Only the outer surface can be cleaned with alcohol.
-It must be applied in a very specific way, sticking first to the center of the screen, and then peeling the protective layer from the bottom to each edge while simultaneously pressing with a spatula. Otherwise, bubbles will get trapped. After that, it must be pressed on the side curves of the Magic6 Lite. Somewhere around the 3rd attempt, the result will reach the desired level.
-In one case of a drop I had with hydrogel from half a meter, the Magic6 Lite did not suffer any damage, but it is already a very durable phone on its own.
-They say that hydrogel generally does not absorb but reflects energy due to its elasticity and puts more strain on the screen. In contrast, a cheap glass protector breaks easily and absorbs energy without putting strain on the screen. I cannot judge with certainty how true this is, but I do not intend to drop the phone on purpose to find out.
