For short-distance running, they are just okay, nothing special. Their cushioning is average and they don't have good grip overall. For walking, they are very uncomfortable because the sole sinks back into the heel and the drop is almost negative (as if the foot is tilting backward). If you want them for a casual stroll, they are nice and pretty as a shoe, but they are not suitable for their intended purpose and definitely not worth the money. There are much better options in this price range (see Nike Flex, Skechers) with a much more comfortable sole and proper drop.
