I don't know if I received a defective device, but it made continuous sounds even on small streets within the city (in the countryside) where there are definitely no radars. Also, the notifications were in an unrecognizable language (not English), resulting in not understanding what it was saying. The only options were either to turn it off or to lower the volume. I returned it to the store.
