Travel with extra protection with the NXR 2 Sheen TC-2 helmet from Shoei. It is made of polymer, with a modular EPS core system for optimal protection through EPS core elements with different damping degrees. Additionally, it features a Double-D closure as well as a removable and washable modular central pad.

It is a helmet ideal for fast trips out of town.
- You can turn your head right/left at speeds over 200 km/h and it remains neutral whether you are standing upright or leaning on clip-on handlebars (I have it on two bikes).
- 200 km/h can occur if the bike is running at 130 and has a headwind of 5-6 Beaufort; the helmet does not strain the neck because it is smaller and lighter.
- Also because it has five stars in the most demanding Helmet Crash Test in the world (in all points of the helmet): https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/helmets/shoei-nxr2/
- It does not have a sun visor. This is very good in my opinion because in this helmet, glasses of all kinds, such as polarized, fit very easily: those of us who have ridden at sunset over asphalt know that nothing can block the blinding reflection except polarized sunglasses. The tinted visor at that moment proves to be an unnecessary weight we were carrying, and if the helmet does not accept glasses, so much the worse!..
- The new NXR 2 has an additional, integrated clasp on the chin of the helmet, which ensures that the visor will not open at high speeds. (To open the visor, you push a toothed button from the chin upwards, which unlocks a hook that "catches" the visor internally in the helmet). I never had such a problem with the previous ones that opened from the side - they are indeed more difficult and require more effort. What worries me about the new system is the dust that - like on spoilers - accumulates internally and, due to air pressure, makes these moving parts dysfunctional - up to about useless if this dust gets wet and sticks inside.
- It allows you to hear what is happening around you: who is approaching you and from where, who is honking, whose tires are squealing near you, etc. (For carefree, relaxed rides, there is the Shoei GT Air, 300 gr heavier and 4 stars on sharp if I remember correctly..)
- If after 3-4 years, the interior of the helmet loosens - in a Valkyrie I had, the loosening occurred in the 4th year - you can go buy fresh cheek pads and chin bar, as well as anti-fog visor. The pads cost over 100 euros for 5 years, and the visor, less. Today's prices, I imagine, 150 and 100, but they are worth it for a helmet that will be new again.
- What you must definitely pay attention to from the beginning is to regularly apply the plastic conditioner included in the package and at home to leave it inside its protective bag, putting a freshly washed t-shirt with your cologne inside.
Safe miles and always upright!
Very good helmet, comfortable (although they pressed it a little where I bought it because it was slightly tight on the sides).
I also attached a Cardo Freecom 4X with the clip (as shown in the photos), easy installation once you find the right spot (it also has notches for the headphones).
Another thing I want to comment on is that my glasses fit comfortably (as if it has drivers to fit them), something that my old AVG helmet still can't do today. In my case, the arms are thin and flexible, so your mileage may vary in this area.
