Description

The MC200CM is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-SX fiber optics to 1000Base-T copper or vice versa. It is compatible with the IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX standards, and is suitable for use with multimode fiber using the SC connector. The MC200CM supports low wavelength (SX) laser specifications with full transmission speed. It operates at 850nm for both transmission and reception of data.

Other features of the unit include:

  • Ability to be used as a standalone device (no enclosure required).
  • Compatibility with TP-LINK 19" enclosure system.
  • Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port.
  • Status LEDs on the front panel.
  • Transmission over extended fiber distances of up to 0.55 kilometers, using multimode fiber.
