The latest FOCUS GX ATX 3.0 series from Seasonic is designed and manufactured to power new PC components that require the new ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards.
Digital Hybrid Fan Control
The first, patented by Seasonic, advanced three-phase thermal control achieves the optimal balance between silence and cooling. This digital hybrid fan control operates in three operational stages: Fanless mode, silent mode, and cooling mode.

Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan
High-performance Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the oil's impact absorption effects. They are extremely reliable and produce significantly less operational noise and heat compared to ball-bearing fans.
The lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration and, consequently, reduces overall power consumption. Due to the effortless, quieter rotations and robust construction, this reliable fan technology also significantly increases the fan's lifespan.
How it works
When the fan shaft rotates, high-pressure oil is transferred along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to create a thin lubrication layer between the bearing surfaces. As speed increases, the dynamic oil pressure also increases, and the shaft is lifted from the bearing to create smooth, effortless rotations. The herringbone shape of the grooves helps efficiently channel the lubricant and prevent leaks.

I needed an ATX 3.0 power supply for the 4080 and decided to trust Seasonic for the first time, having heard great things. Everything is good so far, the cables, although not sleeved, have a texture that resembles sleeved cables, so they are not as glossy. The 12VHPWR cable is flexible and long enough. It is also quiet, as I can't hear anything when idle, and during games, the card makes some noise that covers the rest of the noise in the PC, so I still can't hear it.
