The Camping Path tent from Escape is a summer tent. It is mainly aimed at those who are looking for a reliable solution but also at ambitious campers.
Construction
The Path tent by Escape features 2 durable collapsible poles made from 8.5mm Fiberglass. The floor is made from PE 110g/m2 for durability on various surfaces. The outer material is made from 190T Polyester with a special coating that will protect you from excessive heat and sunlight.
Fiberglass frame
The fiberglass frame is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.
Fiberglass is flexible, allowing the frame to be lightweight and pliable to support the tent fabric.
What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?
T means Thread, that is fiber, and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.
What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
Waterproofing in a tent shows us how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Widely used waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is characterized as waterproof. Indicatively, a summer tent can have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

During the first use, the handle's rubber broke. With some improvisation, I managed to set it up. It's not worth it for 50-60€. I bought it for 34€ a year ago and still, considering its quality, I don't think it's worth it.
In the package you will find:
2 poles for the frame.
2 pegs for the shade of one entrance.
8 ropes of 2 meters each.
1 cover for the mesh at the top of the tent to prevent rain from entering.
8 anchoring pegs.
It has 1 mesh at the top with a lighting hanger, 2 large windows, and 2 entrances.
The 2 entrances have 3 zippers each, which I feel may easily break.
It sets up quickly without much difficulty with 1 person.
If you want to use it in the rain, I'm not sure it will be waterproof.
I encountered insect issues inside the tent, which were probably entering either through the loose zipper of one entrance or from one corner of the tent.
As a precaution, I taped the zipper of one entrance and also one of the corners of the tent to prevent scorpions from appearing.
I recommend it as a cheap solution for a very spacious and airy tent that you won't use in the rain and won't have to worry about possible insect or scorpion appearances.
2 summers of use, a total of 18 days. We are 2 people and we bought this tent for about €60 and it will be the 3rd summer that we will use it.
Positives: The mesh in 4 points that open, allowing for air circulation. In the rain that caught us, even though we packed the tarp, nothing got through from above (organized camping). The space is cool and not stuffy at all. The entrance is from two points.
Negatives: The construction is relatively mediocre but it is value for money.
In summary, even the most expensive tent needs attention to avoid any damage. I definitely recommend it!!
Personally, due to many personal items, I would get a larger one.
Central height is 1.80 meters.
It is by far a value for money tent. Tested several times and in winds of 5-6 Beaufort it seems to withstand, but for safety reasons I disassembled it. Easy to set up, airy, and comfortable to stand upright. Perfect for camping for two people.
I have used the tent for both two and four people, and in both cases it worked great. With two people, it has plenty of space for luggage, mattress, and anything else you want to have with you while camping. The windows with mosquito nets are very convenient. I haven't tried the front canopy because I don't have pegs, but overall it is a value for money tent that seems to be durable.
Very good tent for its price. I have had it for three years and it hasn't given me any problems. Large windows for ventilation. Definitely, if you can't find natural shade, it's good to make a shade with a tarp on top, otherwise you will boil if you try to sleep during midday. It's perfect for two people. It fits a double mattress and there is enough space for luggage. For someone who wants to try camping, it's just what they need and at a good price.
I have had it for 2 years, it is worth its money in general..with 1000mm waterproofing it is logical that it cannot withstand rain and storms..it definitely needs a tarp because after a few hours it drips a few drops inside, meaning it doesn't withstand so much water..it is very cool since it has huge windows and 2 doors..for the two of us it was very convenient, we were very comfortable with a double mattress and all our belongings inside. It is a good tent for beginners for sure, to start camping..it meets all requirements and comfortably fits up to 3 people. Personally, nothing has been broken yet and I have used it in both wind and storms, once for 7 days, this year for 10..generally it is worth its money and I recommend it
It lasted for 2 summers, you could say it was worth the money, but I wouldn't buy it again. Cheap materials and not for many days, it's good for a 2-day trip with ideal conditions to feel safe.
The positives:
- It is spacious and has enough height for a person up to 1.75 meters to stand upright in the middle of the tent.
- It has large windows (at least the one I got has two entrances), making it quite cool for the summer.
- The mesh screens are of good quality (they don't easily tear).
- It withstood strong winds on an island without breaking.
The negatives:
- The material used for the straps that secure it for air circulation, as well as where the roof is tied, is ridiculously weak. As soon as I went to tie it, 3 out of the 4 straps came loose, without me applying much force. The tent's stitching also came undone at that point. With slightly better material for the straps and a slightly wider stitching (like more expensive, higher-quality tents have), it wouldn't have had this issue. Now I had to sit and sew it up during its first use. If it cost 20 euros, I would say it's okay. But it costs 50.
- The zippers for the windows and doors don't have a good stop at the end, resulting in 2 zippers coming off as we closed them.
Final conclusion:
The tent could have been very good for its price, as it has a good design, but it has these two problems that I mentioned earlier. If they release a corrected model addressing these issues, it will be worth it. Now, it makes me think that it would have been more worthwhile to have bought a tent that costs twice as much but is of much better quality, and would last for many seasons. This tent, as it seems, won't make it through a second season.
It is a very good choice for a tent for up to 4 people as it is spacious and tall. Very easy to set up and ideal for summer months as it is very cool, due to the large windows. I give it a 5 because it fully meets what the manufacturer specifies.
I have had it for 3 months since I went on vacation in Thassos, I stayed inside it for about 2 months and I am very satisfied.
It is easy to set up, durable, and comfortable space.
I highly recommend it!!
