This version provides the same high responsiveness and neutral support you love, but with improved comfort in sensitive areas of the foot, such as the arch and toes. Regardless of whether you are running many miles for a marathon, doing a quick speed workout before sunset, or participating in a spontaneous group run, it remains the established road running model you can trust daily, on every run.

Support: neutral

The more supportive the shoe, the greater stability it can offer to your natural stride. The combination of optimized support and cushioning at the right spots ensures a stable feel with every step. The Peg 40 has neutral support. It provides the balance you need, whether you land on the ground first with your heel or with the front part. It is also ideal for both long and short runs, as it ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe.

Cushioning: Medium

The more cushioning you have under your foot, the softer and more comfortable your running experience can be. Cushioning helps limit impact when your foot strikes the ground. Feel the ground contact thanks to Nike React technology, a lightweight yet durable foam that offers a comfortable, responsive stride. It maintains its shape on every run, providing you with a consistent feel.

The higher the responsiveness the shoe offers, the greater energy return you can enjoy with each step. Whether you want to run a little faster or with a little less effort, high-responsiveness shoes offer a slightly more elastic feel with each step, allowing you to get even more out of each run. Nike has combined Nike React technology with two Zoom Air units (one in the forefoot and one in the heel) for an exceptionally springy and dynamic feel when pushing off from the toes.

What's new in the Peg 40?

When Nike began designing the Peg 40, they took a reverse approach, literally, starting with the application of a strip in the middle of the sole for a more stable, yet more comfortable feel, giving the impression that the Peg provides the arch of the foot with a welcoming, gentle embrace. Nike wanted the inner boundaries of the shoe to be comfortable, breathable, and offer a relaxed feel to the toes, arch, and heel, where the feet are more sensitive, with a specially designed circular pattern that allows the shoe to adapt to the shape of the foot.

    But poor durability over time, very mediocre materials compared to its value, as usual it will tear at the big toe and the sole will wear out.
    I wouldn't buy it again because we have many options of the same quality from other companies and definitely at better prices.

    The lightest pegasus I have ever bought. Former owner of the pegasus 36 and 37 zip version. Extremely comfortable shoe. I haven't tried them running yet because I feel sorry for them and I'm still using the old ones, but for walking outside they are incredibly convenient for hours!

    Very good for now. I got a slightly bigger size 42.5. I think even size 42 gloves would fit me. Comfortable and lightweight. Now, how long they will last remains to be seen.

    Excellent shoe for running, walking, and posture. They are lightweight, absorb shocks perfectly, and have excellent rebound. I use them for fast walking as exercise, running, and also at work. I do a minimum of 20 kilometers per week. From the moment I wore them, the pains in my heels and knees disappeared immediately. I have already bought two pairs, the blue and the black, and I will buy another one. Whoever tries them, will not want to wear any other shoe afterwards. I also have the size 39 version, which is slightly softer than the 40, but the 40 seems to have an even more stable grip.
