The two USB-C PD (Power Delivery) ports provide uninterrupted pass-through charging. Some laptops have only one USB-C port, so after adding a docking station, there is no extra port to connect the power.

The USB-C ports on the Pro Multiport allow pass-through charging from the power source, enabling the laptop and another device to charge up to 85W (15W allocated for other ports) while all other ports of the hub are in use.
