Description

Bud Sagendorf. This is the name of one of the most important creators of Popeye, whom we got to know in Greece through the magazines that were available at kiosks from 1973 until the mid-90s. However, for practical reasons, these stories underwent changes, as they were originally created in strip form to be published in American newspapers, not in kiosk comic magazines. In short, they were never published in the form they should have been.

In the Classic Popeye Stories series, we present these stories in their authentic, original form. Popeye by Bud Sagendorf returns to Greece, and for the first time, we will read his stories without any cuts, just as they were published in America.

A volume worth buying purely for collector's reasons. It has nothing to do with the small volumes sold at kiosks. These are unpublished stories that showcased Popeye as we know him today. Oh! and in most of the stories, he doesn't even eat spinach.
