The Uprising follows the story of what happened after Ragnar and his team's raid in Paris. Ragnar is a shattered man, but an assassination attempt forces him to take drastic measures. His ex-wife Lagertha travels to the sacred site of Uppsala in search of a sign from the gods, but finds only destruction.
