The keyboard is good, but the mouse is terrible and of low quality. It often doesn't work and it's frustrating. Keep in mind for your next purchase that the mouse should be better, as this model is very basic
It's simply garbage, perhaps the worst keyboard I've ever had.... and just to be clear, if someone wants a keyboard just to have a keyboard (better to get a cheaper one), it's okay, but that's it... it's not suitable for office work... the mouse is small, bad (perhaps the worst I've ever worked with) and useless, the keys have a bad feel and make a lot of noise, when you press them you feel their cheapness.
And as if all that wasn't enough, they also lose their signal, you have to press 2-3 times for it to "hear".
PS My question is how some people give it 5 stars, what are they comparing it to? or do they just give it because it simply works, there is no other explanation.
For work, it is a decent budget keyboard. The mouse is a bit small for my hand and it bothers me after a while. Also, personally, I don't like lightweight mice, and this one is quite light. I do not recommend it at all for gaming. I play various games and in most of them, there has been at least one instance where there was a significant latency spike and either the keyboard or the mouse (or both alternately) just stopped working, and this has been an issue from the moment I took it out of the box.
I also have the older model of the series which is better for long distances, but I have no complaints about it since it doesn't cause any problems at distances greater than 5m that I work with.
The improvements from the older model are in the on/off switches on the keyboard and mouse, as well as in the mouse's invisible laser. The keyboard has a wonderful feel of the keys and size, but the mouse should be slightly larger and more ergonomic
If you are not close to the 25-30 maximum USB adapter, it does not respond correctly, it lags when typing on the keyboard and the mouse breaks
I think it's an excellent keyboard. I would like the mouse to be a little bigger. The combination is very good for simple office, web, and coding use. For demanding work in image, sound, and video editing programs or gaming, you will need a different mouse.
Update 13/09/2023
The mouse said goodbye.
Very good for its price. Most of it has been said by previous customers. Just one note: be careful when opening the package, the USB receiver is located in the ear of the cardboard box.
Very good, it's like my old keyboard, the feeling reminds me of a mechanical keyboard which for me is a plus, unfortunately after a few days it started to lag a bit when I play games that have to do with the battery, otherwise I would say it's good
My problem is mainly with the mouse.
It is not possible to have a portable mouse in a package with a keyboard for a desktop computer. It took me a long time to get used to it and my wrist still hurts a little.
Very good keyboard with a mouse, I have to say that it has a receiver for both and that's good because it saves a USB port. The keys make a little noise but I don't mind at all, it's like having a mechanical keyboard, the response is fast, it doesn't freeze, I've had it for a few days so I don't have an opinion on how long it will last, it seems well built, the characters are also Greek on the keyboard. The mouse is a bit small for the computer, it's better for a laptop. The keyboard also has multimedia keys, very good for example if you want to open the calculator or mute the sound or even put the computer on standby. Another positive aspect is the 3-year warranty from Logitech. The keys are a bit sticky and sometimes you accidentally press multiple keys together, but these are details that don't bother me, I hope it turns out to be reliable
It's worth its money!! It's a value for money keyboard!!
On the downside, it's somewhat noisy when typing!!
I had to get a keyboard and mouse, as the old ones were messed up.
I was looking for something affordable but also reliable, not like the crappy X.
Anyway, I ended up here at Logitech.
It's a great job, quiet and comfortable.
The mouse feels small in my hand, but it's just a matter of getting used to it, not a big deal
Maybe because it's the beginning and all the keys are still hard and very new, many times one click is not enough.
As correctly noted, it is a completely value for money choice. I am referring to the keyboard, as I already had a mouse (Bluetooth), so it has not even been unsealed.
The shortcuts on top (sound and computer) are very useful, as well as the on/off switch on the top right. Perhaps a small improvement would be the noise created by pressing the buttons, however, it is something that on the one hand does not reach annoying levels and on the other hand would not be justified by such a "honest" selling price of the set.
A value for money keyboard and mouse set. I got it for the office, I work with it daily for about 10 hours a day and I haven't found any negative points, considering that you buy a friendly budget set. Personally, I recommend it
Very good for its price, after all it is Logitech and that is definitely a guarantee!! As for the durability, we will see in the future how it goes... the buttons are just not as quiet but otherwise it is a very good combo as the mouse is very good and does its job.. it is a very good and economical solution and I recommend it without reservations!!
Very good feeling so far. The only negative thing I have found so far is the small feet with little keyboard feedback. The mouse is likable. I had gotten a similar one for my laptop. Unfortunately, it seems small for my desktop and I have gotten a bigger one. Also, the keyboard did not sync with the sensor of the new mouse and I have to use a second one. Finally, it has a sensor for both mouse and keyboard (logical) but now that I am using a different mouse on the desktop, the mouse of the set has become useless to me. I have ordered a second sensor from eBay. I hope it works.
In 2014, I bought it for around 25-27€.
It was a good purchase.
After 6 years of use, it still works flawlessly.
As for the drawbacks, I can mention the very small button that opens and closes the mouse, as well as the occasional sticking, but nothing too terrible.
For his money, he does his job just fine. If you want something solid and precise, choose something else.
USAGE: At least 4 hours daily in an office environment.
CONNECTION/COMMUNICATION: I have placed the receiver 50cm away from the keyboard at the front of the computer case. When I placed the receiver in a USB port at the back of the case, it often lost communication.
KEYBOARD QUALITY: I would like a slightly longer key travel and a more reliable input. I got used to it and it's not a problem. The keys make an acceptable amount of noise.
BATTERY CONSUMPTION/REPLACEMENT: When the mouse pointer or the keyboard keys start to lag, it's an indication to replace the batteries. The batteries need to be replaced every 4-6 months.
BUILD QUALITY: It broke after 2.5 years of use when some keys (X, K, and later others) got stuck and wouldn't bounce back - even after careful cleaning.
However, it served me well and I replaced it with the same model.
I kept the wireless mouse from the old set, which works on its own with another computer.
I am the owner of the K260 since 2012. Now I can't find it but it looks exactly the same except for some LED lights that I see on the top right (probably for caps lock).
I have it connected to the living room PC, which is connected to a 50'' TV and it's on all day.
It jumps from couch to couch, it has been hit by the kids, it goes from the kitchen to the living room (there is no wall in between).
I didn't have any other wireless set for similar use, I only used them in the office.
The volume, calculator, new page, and sleep buttons change your life.
I thought everything was like that, but when I saw a friend with a Microsoft set, I realized how user-unfriendly his system was.
I will also get the MK270 and I hope it didn't turn out bad like the previous one, but that it turns out good as well.
Battery
Every 4-6 months, I changed the mouse and keyboard once since 2012. I don't remember when.
The quality of it is up to Logitech's standards, so you don't have to worry about it breaking easily and it seems like it will last a long time. The mouse is relatively small, but even though I have big hands, I didn't encounter any issues like other users have reported. Instant connection on Win10.
If sound is a concern for some, this particular keyboard is not silent. While not very loud, the sound of the keys is noticeable and may bother some people.
The negative thing I noticed with mine is that the number keys don't always register the key stroke.
Value for money.. Functional, easy to use, minimal delay only occasionally when pressing the keys but I consider it negligible. I recommend it
I bought this specific set just for the keyboard, which costs the same as the set with the mouse included. This way, I also have a backup mouse in case something happens to the one I'm using. The only problem is that the receiver of this specific set is not Logitech's unifying receiver, and the keyboard is not compatible with the unifying receiver that they sell separately. If you have other products from the company, like for example the other mouse that I have, you need to use a USB port only for the set and another port for the rest.
I use it daily, for 3 years, for 4 hours per day... I am moderately satisfied, I will not buy another external keyboard again, to compare... some of its keys are difficult to use and time-consuming... the battery of the Panasonic lasted 2 years... it has a hard plastic construction... I never use its mouse because I have a Kensington Orbit trackball that is extremely comfortable with zero strain on my wrists and fingers...
+ Build quality.
+ Battery life.
+ On-Off switches.
- Different keyboard layout from the pictures.
- Relatively small mouse.
- Limited range. I have it connected to my TV, both facing each other on the couch at a distance of 2-3 meters. When I had the receiver at the back of the PC, I constantly experienced lag, especially with the keyboard, even after replacing the old batteries with new ones. Placing it in the front port, so there is a line of sight, stopped the lag.
Why do I compare the four stars with the 220 of the same company, which is a five? Otherwise, excellent, durable, perfect.
+Excellent quality and durability.
+The batteries last a long time and you can use it from a long distance, even with a wall in between.
+The mouse and keyboard have On/Off switches.
+The extra buttons on top of the keyboard work perfectly and are very useful.
-The keyboard has a different layout in the pictures here (The Enter key takes up only one row with the Backslash above it) and a different one in reality (The Enter key takes up two rows with the Backslash next to it in the bottom row).
-The mouse is small and not suitable for men with large hands.
-It does not have extra buttons beyond the three basic ones and its scroll wheel does not move left-right.
I also notice that some people write that it does not have Greek characters on the keys, while mine does, and some others write that you have to press the Fn key to use the F keys, while mine does not even have an Fn key, so there are probably different versions of the product circulating.
The mouse is small and below average. Sometimes they get stuck (with fully charged batteries at 1.5 meters)
Very satisfied. It has a very good feel of the keys, works flawlessly, has the correct layout, and the additional keys above the main keyboard for volume, play, home, email, and calculator are useful, and the shape, size, and color are designed not to be bothersome.
