I also "fell for it" and thought it had automatic lubrication. But fortunately, I didn't return it, because this particular tool is worth its money many times over. It easily cuts small logs up to twice the length of its chain, much more comfortably than larger and more expensive chainsaws from the same company, and all this while consuming less battery. The only downside is the protective plastic which I removed, and the oiling tool that comes with it, which is not very practical. I took a small bottle that my wife uses to dye her hair, and that lubricates much better.

In the features, they mention that it has automatic lubrication. This is a serious reason why I bought it. It's a lie. I returned it. This, of course, is not a problem with the product.
