Ronin is a beautiful, addictive, and underrated game with an amazing story and a lot of depth. It may not be technically perfect like Tsushima, and it has nothing to do with Sekiro apart from the fact that it features Japan and samurai. However, it is based on the historical events of the period 1857-1872 and offers an experience, a journey through time, with unforgettable characters that stay with you, incredible depth, and lessons in history. It has some familiar elements from Team Ninja (Nioh series), it also somewhat resembles a quality Assassin's game in the map and collectibles, the battles are fast and enjoyable with deep controls and a variety of weapons. It has 3 areas/maps of the period: Yokohama, Edo (the old name for Tokyo), and Kyoto, and it transports you while maintaining historical foundations and representations of the era. I enjoyed it and achieved platinum. Incredible aftertaste, 5 stars!
Quite repetitive in its deliveries and you face the same bosses in recycling. Nice gameplay though at levels of Nioh which is also from the same company
I bought it very expensive, and now I see that its price has suddenly dropped. The game has some positives and some negatives. For me personally, the positives were the graphics, even though everyone criticizes them. It's a nice game in general that reminds me of GOT with nice scenes of violence, beheadings, hand-cutting, etc., choices of other characters with different combat moves for each one... The negatives are a lot of lag, somewhat clunky controls, and the fact that you choose what responses to give, and your character doesn't even speak; this is the first time this has happened.
Ghost of Tsushima may not be, but fortunately it is not Sekiro either.

You choose the difficulty level that suits you (are you listening Sekiro?) and the protagonist you want.
If you find it for 30-35 euros, grab it.
The graphics are good but that's it. A negative for me at least is that your character hardly speaks at all. They might say 5 phrases throughout the whole game. You choose what to say and the NPC just responds to you.
I am a huge fan of Team Ninja and I have platinumed both Nioh and Nioh 2, which in my opinion are the best soulslike games on the market. However, I gave up on Nioh 2 after 25 hours because I found it to be much inferior to the aforementioned games. As for Ronin... it is mediocre in every aspect. I was disappointed by TN. Unfortunately, it's 2/2 for me and yes, I feel like they're "burning" in the third one. Empty lifeless world and side quests like taking photos, collecting kittens, opening chests in hidden houses, etc. Okay, you do it about ten times and you're fine. Then it becomes incredibly boring, monotonous, and repetitive. The story is also mediocre. The graphics remind me of 2012 and yet the frames are at 30-40. The only exception is the combat system, which, although good and with many weapons and playstyles, firstly becomes monotonous because it is heavily parry-oriented, and precisely for this reason, if you don't parry in difficult situations, you will lose. So, the many weapons, skills, and different styles become somewhat pointless in the long run. The whole setup of the game is Ubisoft-style open world just to waste your time. The AI is laughable and ridiculous... what can I say, guys, I got bored of the game. I gave up on it after 30 hours and sold it, but I kept the save because it's certain that it will be included in the PlayStation Plus, so maybe I'll pick it up again to platinum it at some point... it's a shame for TN because they are a good developer and of course, it's a shame for us who ultimately spend $70.
I started this month and I can say that I really like it. Ok, it doesn't have the graphics of GoT but it's definitely worth your time.
Althought I didnt like it at first, maybe because I was expecting something like Ghost of Tsushima or Sekiro, this game really grows on me. Sure it doesnt have the best graphics of this generation but is still a spectacle. The story is not the best thing ever but I think is good enough. The gameplay is great and the game excels in something that many games dont seem to: Its fun. Having a blast and I believe this is what counts.

The game, while having a strong start and appearing nice in its battles, quickly made me realize that it was only good up to a certain point. The graphics are average to good, nothing particularly special. There are many tiresome Japanese names that make you lose track of who is who and what is happening, resulting in the story becoming repetitive and the missions feeling pointless. There is a huge and pointless loot system for customizing armor and weapons, but ultimately it doesn't seem to matter much. Its strong point is the combat system, which has MANY different weapons, each with a different fighting style, so you don't get bored (quickly) in that aspect. The stealth aspect needs work. It is a game similar to Ghost of Tsushima, but unfortunately it doesn't reach the same level of excellence in many areas.
Ok gameplay and the story is likeable but that's about it. Graphics are at least on par with the PS4. Overall, the interaction with the characters feels lifeless. In other words, it seems like a rushed job. If it drops to 40€, it will be worth buying.
The game is nothing special, I would put it on the level of Mirage. Average graphics, tiring Japanese names and pointless missions, and mainly many unnecessary features and customization that ultimately tires. Lacks originality, the music may be the most negative element of the game... It has a very good battle system, mediocre stealth, I think it's worth up to 40 euros max
It's a shame because it's a very good idea... but it failed in practice... the graphics are terrible to mediocre... open world, yes, but lifeless... it could have been epic... surpassing even Ghost of Tsushima... but it remained just an idea. The combat system is good, but overall it feels like playing a dull game!
The game is flawless from all perspectives!! Personally, even the graphics that most people criticize, didn't bother me!! Gameplay with a lot of depth, nice story, likable characters and intense battles!! It also has difficulty levels for beginners... To anyone who criticizes it, they should play some Mario Kart to enjoy and leave the great games for those who know how to appreciate them!!
If you exclude the well-crafted gameplay, otherwise it is quite "lukewarm" in terms of its graphics and open world aspect. When its price drops to 40 euros, it will be more value for money.
Powerful demanding gameplay with depth. Finally, a game from a company known for the difficulty of its games that also appeals to a casual audience. What we're saying is that I've been waiting for years for this and I hope other similar releases follow this example.
The open world relaxes you with its exploration, although it can be a bit monotonous in terms of content.

As for the graphics, obviously we have played better games, but that doesn't mean they're not beautiful. Personally, I have no problem with it, especially the art design as an Asian game with colors and culture is exceptional!
The team ninja is not known for its graphics as much as for its gameplay. Those who have real experience with games from this company know that none of their games had perfect graphics, like Nioh, Nioh 2, Wo Long, and previously Ninja Gaiden. The world buys team ninja games for their competitive, deep gameplay and realistic katana sword battles (and more). Anyone who complains about the graphics obviously has never played a tn game. The game is worth every penny, even the last one, if it's your first tn game, I recommend trying their older games first, which are much cheaper. If you end up liking them in terms of difficulty, realism, and graphics, then Rise of the Ronin is the way to go for you.
It's a great game. Incredibly beautiful landscapes. You don't have to be young to enjoy it as some so-called "experienced users" of the Nintendo Switch say.
First of all, the graphics are very basic and completely terrible for the PS4. It's 2024, I want to see beautiful graphics that impress me and make me want to engage with the game. Maybe for kids aged 18-20 who haven't experienced much, it might be cool... IF it's possible for clueless people to say and write that it's better than Ghost of Tsushima, it doesn't even come close to 20%. Another failure for me from Sony and the developers. Sales will speak for themselves
