House your gaming computer in something bold with the Kolink Observatory MX Series PC case. The dual-tone color scheme, half-hinged glass side panel, and front mesh create a powerful aesthetic for any gaming PC. Meanwhile, the five pre-installed Kolink Umbra ARGB fans provide ample airflow to keep your components at optimal temperature.
The Kolink Observatory MX Series features two styles, each available in three color options. You can choose between the Glass or Mesh versions, and then in black, white, or black and white color.
This is the Mesh model in black and white color. The front panel features a mesh design to ensure ample airflow. Keeping the aesthetics elegant, the special PSU cover is designed with solid steel lining. As with the black and white model, the exterior and interior are black, with the cover offset in white color. This creates a bold effect.
Beyond its good looks, the Kolink Observatory MX Mesh offers incredible support for a variety of hardware. This case can accommodate a Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, or ATX motherboard, with seven expansion slots on the back for PCIe devices. In the main chamber, there is a 330mm clearance for GPUs.
The dedicated PSU cover can accommodate power supplies up to 180mm. There is also a storage drive cage with four slots. Two can accommodate either 2.5" SSDs or 3.5" hard drives, while the other two are only for 2.5" drives.
To keep your gaming PC at optimal temperature, the Kolink Observatory MX Mesh can support both air and water cooling hardware. There are five pre-installed Kolink Umbra ARGB fans throughout the chassis to enhance airflow through the mesh lining. The front features two 140mm fans. On the top, there are two 120mm models, and the rear also features a 120mm fan.
Alternatively, there is support for radiators and additional fans throughout the chassis. The front panel can accommodate up to two 140mm fans or a radiator up to 240mm, 280mm, or 360mm in length. For the rear panel, the 120mm fan mount can instead support a 120mm radiator. The top panel can only support the two 120mm fans, but there are also two 120mm brackets on the PSU cover to provide dedicated cooling for the second chamber.
The Kolink Observatory MX Mesh features a USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port as part of the I/O panel, with an HD audio jack. There is also a reset button that can be used to control the fans. Alternatively, these can be connected via a 3-pin 5V header and controlled through the main fan.

The first thing you notice is the very low weight, the case is super light! The frame is a bit flexy but not to the point of looking fake. The PCI brackets are not screw-in but the breakable type, so be careful which ones you remove. The spaces are quite okay as is the cable management. The side glass with the hinges and the magnet is hard to find in this price category. The fans are okay if you don't have high demands. It's fine at this price to give you 2x140mm + 3x120mm, you shouldn't have too many expectations. The fan connection is not standard, it's basically the same as the one used (or used to be used, I'm not sure about 2020+) by Phanteks. In practice, the speed is not adjustable, it’s permanently at 100%, which is manageable noise-wise since it runs at relatively low RPMs. The same goes for the ARGB, it can only be adjusted from the reset button when you connect it properly (it’s already connected from the factory). I tried connecting the ARGB connector to the motherboard, it showed the classic rainbow signal but the software didn't recognize them at all, so I left it as it was initially. Overall, it's decent for its price and what it offers, without being anything exceptional.
Starting off, I will say that it is much more beautiful in person than in the photos. The contrast of white and black is very beautiful, and combined with the illuminated fans, it creates a wonderful visual effect. The opening of the glass with the hinges and the magnet that holds it in place is convenient. Very good airflow with the help of the 5 pre-installed fans and satisfactory dust filtering from the mesh. Cable management did not concern me at all, and the setup in general did not trouble me at all. The build quality and fit are a bit behind, but not to the extent that it is annoying; this is also the reason I deducted one star (although to be fair, I should have deducted half a star, but that’s not possible). Of course, all of this is justified by its price
