Transcend JetFlash 790 32GB
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I got it along with some other JetFlash drives because the JetFlash 770 32 GB USB 3.0 is the only flash drive of mine that lasted over five years. From the benchmarks, it seems to be the same device in a different casing, so I will give it the exact same rating. On the other hand, many stores sell it as USB 3.1, which may not be true after all. It says USB 3.1 on it, but it behaves exactly the same as the 3.0 I mentioned earlier.
I almost lost several days of work.
Suddenly it stopped working. With great difficulty, I managed to get copies that I needed for work
My review concerns the 64gb.
Don't be fooled by the USB 3.0. Almost all flash drives have no problem with data transfer. It would be good to have data recording included in the questions. That's where the value of each flash drive is played. That's where almost all flash drives (except for a few exceptions like SSD or HyperX Savage, which are also expensive) have a problem. Unfortunately, this one also has the same problems as most of them. It writes fast at the beginning and then the speed drops to the point where it gets on your nerves. USB 3.0 is only useful for data transfer and not for recording. Unacceptable. If you don't have a problem with this, you're fine.
I have bought over time the larger 32GB and 64GB ones. The quality-price ratio is acceptable. They are relatively cheap, reliable but not very fast. Now I also bought the 16GB ones. What bothered me a lot about the 16GB one is that it doesn't have a LED indicator unlike its larger siblings.
Negatives:
- Moderate speed, 12-15MB/s
- Stopped working in less than 10 months.
Stay away!
The worst flash drive I have ever bought. I purchased it on 11/1/19 and on 30/1/19 it "crashed" with 50GB of files inside. It showed me the message "Usb device not recognized" and that was it. I tried it on 5 different computers, tested it with every version of Windows and Linux, tried every recovery method mentioned in forums. Nothing. It supposedly has a lifetime warranty. What am I supposed to do, since I lost valuable files forever?
I had bought the previous model about 9 years ago for around 30 euros. It has been used thousands of times. Movies from a USB player, series episodes directly on the TV or console or set-top box, or as a storage player on PS3 and Nintendo Wii. Also on Xbox 360. However, there, because the 360 port was small, I had to remove all the plastics. So, after half the years, it is without the plastics. I connect it to a tablet/mobile/satellite receiver mag32 to transfer everything. Something that means it has been formatted/set up dozens of times in different formats. I still have it functioning properly. Since then, I have used 4-5 more USB sticks from well-known brands like Verbatim, Kingston, etc., and some have stopped working or are very slow. This Transcend one continues. 5 stars for sure, and wherever you see this company in the storage field, be sure about its quality.
I have had it for about a year. Suddenly, it broke and it doesn't accept any formatting or anything. As soon as I plug it in, it starts opening windows continuously. It doesn't even accept a low level format or anything. Not even in safe mode. Money wasted.
Mine broke within four months. It wasn't even a consumable. It may have worked well during that time period, but when it breaks so quickly, it's not worth its money
Fast, affordable, with good capacity.
Value for money. Simple and powerful. Just as most USB flash drives should be.
I highly recommend it.
Excellent flash drive! One of the fastest I have tried. For those who care about numbers, Crystaldiskmark 5.1.2 achieves read speeds of 109-117Mb/s and write speeds of 85-88Mb/s. In everyday use, it loads a 1GB movie in less than 20 seconds. Worth it!
They're kidding us, they say it's USB 3 and it has a read speed of 12.6 MB, and I bought it for fast speed, it said 90 MB/s in the store for 15 euros.
Attention (it's a fake USB 3), if there was a lower rating, I would give it
Verified purchase
Until now, it works
Very good and fast, I am very satisfied!
