  Having tried numerous water bottles, I have to say that this company is one of my favorites, even though one of our bottles (children's) had its cap break but it was regularly put in the dishwasher and broke around the 4-year mark. I believe that these expensive bottles, like thermoses, should never be put in the dishwasher because their plastic parts wear out. I have purchased 5 plastic bottles from this company. I just "love" and appreciate that their straw cap is not exposed to germs, the straw is plastic and not silicone, the cap is hard silicone which is durable yet soft at the same time. Because the child will usually chew on the overly "soft" cap. It is one of our favorite sports bottles as well as the other one that doesn't have a straw.
