Very good construction. Locks and unlocks easily. It may seem a bit loose at the locking point, but it is not. Once locked, it does not move at all. I lock it to the D-ring of the helmet and it holds 2 helmets together very easily. Also very convenient is the T-shaped accessory, if you want a little more length from the point where you tie it, to fit the helmet on the motorcycle. The combination goes in easily and the rings with the numbers turn smoothly without sticking.
