Classic value and beauty! It is extremely durable and elegant! It does not consume the battery quickly (the first one lasted 5 years) and it does not lose much time (+- 3" per month). I still wear it even in swimming during the summer and it hasn't suffered the slightest damage!
I recommend it without a second thought! I was torn between this and its relatively smaller sibling, the Casio 164-WA, but after trying both, I ended up with this one (Casio 168) as it looked better on the wrist. In my opinion, it is the best in terms of quality and aesthetics at this price range. Every time I wear it, it attracts attention and starts conversations. It has sufficient functions and the backlight works perfectly. The only negative thing I find is that its case is plastic compared to the stainless steel strap, but I believe it is justified at this price.
Purchased for €22 in the summer of 22.
I can say it's worth every penny.
The time is easily distinguishable and the light is very good at night. Even though I have a few hairs on my hands, it doesn't catch them at all. The time and alarm settings are very easy. It is very lightweight in the hand. Despite its low price, it doesn't look cheap at all but rather high-quality, meaning it's perfect even for a night out.
Positive:
>Very beautiful, relatively shiny, matches with everything and fits all wrists, absolutely timeless.
>Waterproof, suitable for sweating, washing, showering, and swimming without any issues.
>Keeps time well, loses less than 5 seconds in a week.
>The light is clearly visible in the dark, as well as the digits during the day.
>Classic digital functions (stopwatch, alarm, hourly chime) can be easily used with just 3 buttons.
>Easy clasp and length adjustment.
Negative:
>The strap sometimes pulls hairs from the hand, especially if it is relatively tight.
>The case is made of painted plastic, so it scratches very easily and requires attention.
It's a bit expensive, I would say around 35-40, but it's generally worth it if you want an inexpensive watch that doesn't look like a cheap imitation or completely fake plastic
Very good watch. Simple but very beautiful at the same time, something I wanted. The screen has a light and a blue color. It also has an alarm clock. Date and stopwatch.
I bought the watch out of nostalgia as I had a similar one 30 years ago. Don't expect luxury for 20 euros, it is lightweight with a plastic glass that is quite nice. However, I gave it to my daughter because it is for women's or children's wrists, I think it looks very small on men's hands and due to its age (1.5 degrees of presbyopia), I had difficulty seeing the time.
Ok, retro accessories for the show but in a strange way I have found it very convenient and I wear it almost every day, the case is plastic as known so it makes it less resistant to scratches. Ideal adjustment to make the bracelet completely comfortable I have not found but this has to do with me. I recommend it after 2 months of use.
I have bought 2 of these - good watch. We had a good experience with an A-158 since our childhood and I bought this one (A-168) in 1996. Its main advantage for me is its light, which is an electro-luminescent panel and illuminates the entire screen uniformly with a blue color. The battery lasted the 7 years it claimed, I changed it, but it probably short-circuited somewhere during my military service. I still use its strap on another watch! I bought another A168 afterwards, which still works on its second battery!
But it also has some disadvantages, such as its resin case, which loses its "silver" over time. And its glass also gets scratched, so even though it still works, I no longer use it and gave it to another family member who doesn't wear it, but just keeps it. The buttons that are not frequently used also tend to not work well after some time, which I think applies to many watches with this type of buttons, maybe due to sweat.
The 24 euros it costs (in the past, I remember buying it for closer to 20), as an absolute price, is not much, but I am an IT professional and I know that technology, with its evolution, lowers prices for older technology. I have been buying this since 1996, it should be cheaper.. With 20 euros, for example, you can buy a mobile phone that will probably also play Mp3, have a camera, a larger color screen, etc. Based on this logic, all watches should be cheaper and more capable than they are. I understand that the steel (in the strap) probably raises the price, but still, it is relatively expensive. If it had a metal case for the same price, something would happen, but in this style, you can get a metal case for 74 (a lot!) euros, for example with the CASIO VINTAGE A1000D-7E, which I think looks a bit more feminine.
Very beautiful and feather-light like a feather. It never loses a second and always achieves the correct date between months with 30 and 31 days. The battery lasts for years.
The only significant negative is that if you have hair on your arms, you will have a problem because the hair constantly gets stuck in the cheap bracelet and it hurts.
Watch collector with several Casio watches in my collection. Now for this particular one: The watch is awesome, it has the same functions as similar Casio watches in its category, but its backlight is what makes it stand out. Buy it without hesitation, it's worth every euro.
