PREMIUM SYBASOIL
Why order the SYBASoil Hoya mix?
How to use the Hoya Soil Mix
Using the mix is easy! Start by removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it on the side to loosen the plant. Rinse the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last bits and pieces. Also, make sure to remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors. Now your plant is ready for the fresh Hoya soil. Add a small layer of Hoya mix to the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and slowly add Hoya soil to the sides to fill it up. Make sure that the point where the roots meet the plant is just buried under the Hoya soil. Lightly tap the Hoya mix down in the pot. Make sure to water the Hoya mix well after repotting as this helps settle the mix and the roots.
This hoya mix contains everything your Hoya could ask for. The added activated carbon helps prevent root rot-related issues. There are many orchid barks and coconut husk chips to support space and aeration for the larger roots. The mix drains relatively quickly as Hoyas prefer to be left to dry out between waterings. Hoyas originate from tropical Asia, the Pacific islands, and Australia. They are typically trailing or climbing vines and are epiphytic, meaning they can grow outside of soil on surfaces like trees and rocks. They can be compared to aroid care, except the hoya mix may dry out more often between waterings.
