Cava Papaioannou is the aged version of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Nemea estate, which has matured for 2 years in oak barrels and an additional year in the bottle before being released to the market.

    Perhaps the best Cabernet Sauvignon in this price category in our country. When consumed under the proper conditions (aeration for at least 45 minutes in a suitable decanter with a wide base and served at a temperature of 16 - 18 degrees, it has a round taste with nice, soft tannins, very subtle notes of smoked wood, and a lingering aftertaste. It clearly refers to several much more expensive wines of this variety. I wholeheartedly recommend it to Cabernet Sauvignon lovers. My review concerns bottles from 2016.
