  Quite good for the money but I had a little trouble from the store I bought it from 8w has low minimum and high adjustment this has low high only so it is 5w also as soon as I opened it to put the battery it smelled burnt cable has satisfactory transmission reception I don't know why now I know it is my first vhf-uhf but it works very well its battery is for 2 days 2000 milliampere for resistance I don't know we will see also it doesn't have a vfo Mr button doesn't bother me much it scans tones and subtones and channels frequency after so long after the bumps it took continues to work very well range battery life buttons have not faded yet use not great but just by opening the repeater at about 20 kilometers is very positive of course I also have the uv17 pro max which is great in range sound quality the only negative in that one is the bad quality battery buttons soften quite a bit as if you have it for many years that one is 10 w this is actually 8 I measured it but not on all frequencies

  The best you will find at this price. Ideal for amateur use and even more so in open field (depending on the terrain morphology). Wide frequency range. Very good sensitivity in reception. Its transmission is more than 5 watts on high while on low it is just below 1 watt. Very good and clear speaker as well as excellent reception/transmission (at reasonable distances) and battery life. Get the programming cable with the CD (it helps a lot), a second backup battery, and perhaps a larger and higher quality antenna depending on your needs. Of course, there is also a microphone available for purchase that will serve you well if you have it "permanently" installed somewhere. In terms of durability, I believe it is average in terms of construction (you get what you pay for) and certainly a case would protect it quite well, at least from falls. Do not expect effective waterproofing, so do not risk extended exposure to water. Value for money, the transmitter-receiver is much better than other models of the company (which promise around 5 watts of power).
