Well I have the following headphones since January 4, 2024. Until today (February 28, 2024) I have been amazed by the headphones. I need to explain a little about the background before I get into the specifics of the headphones. I ALWAYS had problems with in-ear headphones, either because they fell out of my ears, or because they were damaged due to microphone clogging, resulting in sound distortion to the point where I sent them back and they were not accepted or replaced. This happened to me with Samsung Buds 2 (80 euros headphones), and Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro (90 euros headphones). I knew something was wrong with my ears (an ENT doctor told me I have more earwax than normal so that might be the cause even if I cleaned them). I wore the headphones both during workouts and simple walks. Specifically with the Xiaomi, I was in the army and they broke while I was in the army so I can't say they had much use other than just listening to music. 2 more pairs of Razer in-ear headphones later (Hammerhead) and I finally decided to buy my first pair of Bluetooth headphones hoping that since they wouldn't have contact with my ear like the in-ear headphones, the problem I had with the others would disappear. With my background explained, I now move on to the headphones. As a comparison measure regarding sound, I will use the Audio-Technica ATH-M40X headphones, which I have been using as my main pair of headphones for 3 years now. The Audio-Technica headphones are intended for mixing/studio work, however, they are the only comparison measure I have. As for the sound, one thing that is immediately noticeable is that the sound is relatively flat without it being bad. In contrast to the Audio-Technica headphones, the high frequencies are not emphasized as much, so you can listen comfortably even at high volumes (which they have A LOT of). I mainly listen to Metal, but I have also listened to POP, Rap, House/Dubstep, and I can say that it plays everything perfectly, with no lack of bass or anything. It's not that stupid V-curve EQ that many other headphones have, like the Soundcore, which competes with the 1More. In short, Sound, from me, is a YES. Moving on to noise cancelling. I use them every day on a bus in Athens, as well as at the gym, but ALSO at home with 2 people working remotely next to me. Noise cancelling is a godsend when you want to isolate yourself in what you are doing/want to enjoy your music. It is also the reason why I no longer use my Audio-Technica headphones. It blocks low/mid frequencies better than high frequencies, which is logical. I now use them DAILY for at least 6-8 hours a day (2 hours at the gym, 4-5 hours of studying with headphones, 40 minutes going and another 40 minutes coming back from a daily class). I charge them once a week whenever I remember... I have never run out of battery (AMAZING BATTERY)... Very good construction, not full of plastic as there is some metal (I think it's metal, I'm not sure) in the extension of the headphones. The headphones make good/solid contact with your head without being annoying but ensuring good Passive Noise Cancelling (which, in conjunction with Active Noise Cancelling, achieve perfect results). Here there is a small drawback which, as the weather warms up, will become a slightly bigger problem. I don't know if it's the pressure from the headphones or the material of the earcaps, but you will see a very light (almost) sweat on the ear caps after some time of use. Nothing special, but okay, I mention it. My next issue with these headphones is quite silly, and for some it may not matter at all, and I'm not very interested either, but I will mention it. While they take 2 seconds to open, they take 5 seconds to close. I wish it was 2 seconds for both. Every time I want to close them, I have to wait for them to close with the button pressed so I can leave them and do what I need to do. Useless long waiting time, as if you want them to self-destruct in 5 seconds... Last but not least, when I do Bench Press at the gym, they slip a little from my ears, causing them to fall off sometimes (backwards), but it's logical since you are lying down at 90 degrees and putting pressure. Not a very common phenomenon to wear such headphones and be lying down, also the same thing happens but to a VERY small extent after about 15-20 minutes of running on the treadmill, with a simple adjustment to their position towards the front, you're fine. (Running at speeds of 8 - 12 on the treadmill) ANYWAY.
The application simply does its job and has various EQs that you can choose from, but I have left them on the Default EQ. It also allows you to put them in LDAC mode for maximum sound resolution, as well as to activate an Experimental Feature to enable multi-pairing. I have it activated since I want to easily switch from mobile to laptop (via Bluetooth).
I don't think there is a better Bluetooth headphone at this price, let alone from Soundcore (main competitor) that if you search for Reviews (SERIOUS reviews) you will see this about the V-Shape EQ that I mentioned earlier.
Sorry for the long post. Buy without fear. :)
