  Owner of this watch for 6 years now and generally a G-SHOCK fan since '93. To not be long-winded, I agree with the previous speakers. The transition to this model justified me! Plenty of functions and most importantly...., 'dog black'..!!! I had a little issue at the beginning where during the time change it couldn't 'see' obviously some satellite and I had to change it manually. In recent years, that was also fixed. One of my best purchases ever!

  Guys.. As a lifeguard for 3 years, the watch never got damaged. I've hit it on rocks in the mountains, it has fallen from a great height, it has been covered in mud, dust, and sand... I even lost it in the sand for 5 days and found it again perfectly fine.
  Since I'm always in a hurry, I've bumped it into corners, it has slipped from my hands in the mornings with a little sleep.

  But expensive watches, like jewelry, have broken glass, the chronograph hands have lost their accuracy, and the dates show something else with a small drop.

  It's very lightweight compared to others, the battery is a beast, it provides nice information such as sunrise and sunset, and warns about extreme weather with the barometric low from the barometer recorder. Excellent size as well.

  The same watch with a regular screen is almost half the price today. The only reason the price is so high is because it's black and the market includes many goth fashion enthusiasts... at best.
  Anyone who buys it is throwing away 150 euros that no one has extra and could use elsewhere. I believe the price is so high in order to lower it with upcoming discounts. The regular price of this otherwise valuable and durable watch is below that of the mudmaster with the hands, around 250-280, a reasonable price because it's a new model and with the offers, more fans will be able to acquire it. If such an offer appears, it won't be a steal or an opportunity, but a fair treatment of the buying public.

  Black Friday and the price dropped to 329, meaning still overpriced even on sale... It's all tricks.

  Finally, in September 2021, we see a price close to 300 euros. A fair effort to return to normal prices.

  I have had the watch since 2010 and I wore it 24/7 (until 1 month ago when I got the new rangeman). The only thing that happened is that the strap broke after 8 years and I replaced it with a nato zulu strap (with the jays and kays adapters that you can find on ebay). I really wonder what use those few people who mention broken lugs made of it. Not a scratch on the screen, nothing.
  Regarding the specs:
  The compass is very easy to calibrate. You don't need to do it often. After a long time of not using it, I noticed minimal deviation (due to magnetic interference during that time).
  As for the altimeter that some people complain about: This watch calculates altitude based on changes in barometric pressure. Don't expect it to be accurate every hour and moment. Its purpose is to set it correctly before climbing and start an ascent. If you want accuracy in altimeter, go for a smartwatch or the new rangeman that does it through GPS (as an option).
  Okay, for waterproofing and resistance to mud, salt, etc., there's no need to say much. The watch can handle any conditions. I used to take it diving because I liked that it had a one-button start timer.
  Regarding time synchronization via satellite: Various factors come into play, from whether you are in nature or in a city with tall buildings to the weather. Surely, don't expect it to automatically change time from daylight saving to standard time (and vice versa). I can't say for sure what affects it because I noticed that there were periods at my house where I almost daily saw that it had synchronized during the night (it displays a symbol above the time) and periods where it didn't synchronize. It doesn't have significant time losses (as an electronic watch), so I didn't care much. For those who are obsessed with synchronizing their watch daily, there is an application for Android called Jungans (there are probably others and similar ones for iOS) which emits the signal that the watch listens to for time synchronization through the mobile phone's speaker. So you go to manual synchronization, start synchronization from the app, place the watch near the speaker, and in about 30 seconds at most, it will synchronize. Otherwise, if you don't care about synchronizing often, I would recommend leaving the automatic synchronization on. With the sun we have in Greece, the battery won't be affected.
  Needless to say, with the solar charging it has, the battery doesn't get drained at all. I have never seen the indicator go from H to M, not even in winter.
  For the price it is sold in Greece, it's probably not worth it. I bought it in 2010 from abroad for 200 euros, so it's ridiculous to see it at 290 in Greece 10 years later. For 200 euros, I would say it's worth it.

  The best thing I have ever bought!
  I have had it for 2 years and it is still like the first day.
  After swimming, make sure to rinse it with cold water so it can last even longer! And as for the time change, you should know that it changes automatically, but it may take up to a month because it depends on when it catches the signal.   For people who are into extreme action, again I would say no because the case is susceptible at the points where the straps attach, and the repair is not cost-effective.
