There is no reason to say anything about Samsung and its diamonds.... words are unnecessary.
The best there is, a one-way street...
I have installed it on my laptop. I have had it for over 5 years and the performance of the previous hard drive was starting to decline and it was very small. I installed it and it works very fast and the capacity, with the entire Windows operating system, provides amazing space for use. I can easily say that I recommend it.
Very fast M.2! It's definitely worth getting, especially if you have PCIe 4.0 to fully take advantage of its speeds.
plug n play
just what you need for an indoor space ps5
I bought the 4TB for PS5. No difference from the internal storage. It plays everything instantly!
So far, everything mentioned in the official specifications (regarding speeds) is one hundred percent accurate. Low temperatures, fast read/write. Installed as a 2nd drive (2TB version) in a mini PC.
I replaced a PATRIOT VP4300L1TBM28H VP4300 LITE 1TB NVME PCIE GEN4 X4 M.2 2280 PS5 COMPATIBLE SSD..... which gave up the ghost in 10 days...
it turns out that... you get what you pay for...
. buy it without hesitation.. the best and most reliable in its category.!!!!
What can I say about one of the best SSDs on the market, I have bought 3 and I use them as main drives for the operating system, one on the AM4 3900x, one on the AM4 5950x, and one on the ThreadRipper 3960X.
They are very fast and do not raise high temperatures, but since I have it for the operating system, it is not used as much as if you have it as a secondary drive and are constantly writing.
I didn't know if I should get one with a heatsink or without because I wasn't sure if they would fit with everything else, but once they were installed, I see that heatsinks fit as well, so I have already ordered special heatsinks to lower the temperatures even more.
Finally, I want to say that it achieves the speeds it claims depending on whether it's a large file or many small ones, where it may achieve slightly lower speeds.
It reaches speeds almost as stated on paper. 7000MB read and 6000+ write, definitely depending on the size of the files, etc. But overall, no complaints. I've had it for only about 1 month.
I bought it for the Playstation 5 as I am a fan of digital games. Super easy installation and lightning performance, you don't notice any difference.
I have had it for a few months and I use it almost daily. So far it has proven to be reliable and fast. I am using it on a MacBook Pro 16” M3 as an external drive.
The drive was purchased for a computer that has a Ryzen 5 3600 processor with a 1060 graphics card on a B550 motherboard. It was bought as a second drive where it was a bit of a hassle to figure out how to activate it, but by following a video on YouTube, you can do it in 5 minutes. In the picture, I have the benchmark that shows the speeds of the drive that the company claims. As you can see, they are the same.
I agree that it is an expensive drive and that perhaps with a Crucial P2, which is 50 euros cheaper, the job could be done for every user. However, with Samsung, you pay for the software (with which I also did the test), and since the first drive was Samsung (970EVO PLUS), I chose not to break the tradition. By the way, with Skroutz Plus, I had the drive in my hands in two days.
The video on YouTube was:

The best m.2 drive at this moment.
There is nothing else to say. Kudos to SAMSUNG for the warranty coverage for those who experienced issues.
Hey guys, does anyone know why the disk is not performing at full capacity while it is connected to PCI 4.0 and has the latest firmware update? Its performance is exactly half, 3500 instead of 7000 as it should be, MSI MAG Z490 Tomahawk Motherboard
No need for recommendations, a very well-known SSD that has proven its quality, speed, and reliability. This is the 3rd Samsung pro I am buying and so far none have let me down.
Possibly one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 SSDs on the market. Samsung quality. You pay for the software. 10/10. I hope it doesn't have issues like the 980Pro
Extremely fast disk. It has significantly improved the response speed of the entire computer.
It is important to perform a firmware update as soon as the operating system is installed!
It entered the ps5
The disc is a beast, the ps5 saw it directly and I install games regularly every day
After the firmware update (with which I had no problem), the disk now operates very close to its nominal speeds.
However, at the moment there are equivalent options at this or even lower price (for 2TB capacity) from competitors. Also, the prices of disks and memories in general have increased compared to last September when I purchased the disk.
As for reliability, it is too early to know, but for now I have not encountered any problems (if anything arises in the future, I will update).
Owner of the 970 evo plus, I decided to add a second NVME2 SSD to my PC as an upgrade along with some other things. And to separate the software between the two purely for storage/gaming.
-I got the 2 TB ones.
-Very fast, already noticeable in various loading screens (elden ring, FF7 Remake, etc.) how it performs compared to its predecessor.
-Immediate connection with the Samsung Magician program and everything seems to be working smoothly.
100% satisfied once again by mama Samsung
I consider Samsung to have a monopoly on SSD drives. No other company reaches the speeds and reliability of Samsung. This drive is no exception
It is impressively fast. The issue is in terms of reliability and how it will work after a few years, we do not know...
I am also one of the unlucky ones who paid a high price to get a good and fast disk, but I got one with half the promised speed and software that does not respond to the necessary updates. I am talking about the Samsung 990 PRO 1TB, which unfortunately came with firmware starting from 3. So I downloaded the Magician from Samsung, which asked me to update the firmware to start from 4. I did it, but the update constantly failed. After spending hours trying to find a way to update for 5 days, I realized that this was beyond my level (ISO with a bootable USB stick and a Linux operating system (where are you going, seriously?). So I decided to remain another dissatisfied customer of Samsung. I do not recommend it... it's better to play joker
Installation without problem. It is really very fast. In the speed test, I measured 6880 in reading and 6750 in writing. The temperatures are fine.
I deduct one star because I encountered a problem with the firmware update. I couldn't do it through Samsung Magician as it was giving an error. The only solution was to do it with the ISO on a bootable drive.

Negatives:
1) -
2. Would I Recommend?
- Yes. I'm not an expert in hardware, but I have been extremely satisfied with its performance so far. Loading screens in games have disappeared, and my overall system has never crashed.
3. Additional Comments:
- Get the 1TB version if you plan on installing Windows and downloading games on your PC
Flawless, like all Samsung SSDs, especially when we're talking about the PRO, EVO, etc. series.
Replaced the excellent 970 EVO 512GB, which was changed solely because I wanted to upgrade to a larger capacity, so the performance was already fantastic.
Of course, the difference is evident in benchmarks. A definite solution.
The firmware issue did not occur, and after 1 year of use (not very heavy, to be honest), it is at 100% health. In terms of performance, it is as expected in the system it was installed in (i9 10th generation).
Edit 1 year later: I bought the same ones with heatsink as they get quite hot under load in a moderately ventilated case, and unfortunately, they have a huge compatibility issue with the motherboard (ASUS), especially if power saving is enabled from Samsung Magician. My review of the drive does not change, of course, but it's worth noting for anyone who encounters that combination.
Bought it for 100 bucks, writing the review after a month of use, so far it works flawlessly. Read/Write speeds are around 7000/6500 in full performance.
