Amazing motherboard, it has everything and it has little lights!!! :)
Overall, it is a very high-quality board with coolers everywhere, all covered! Just know that even though they say everywhere that if you put an NVMe in the PCI Ex gen 5, the GPU will drop the bandwidth to X8 instead of X16, generally, there is no reason to put an NVMe there because I don't think we would notice any difference between GEN 5 and GEN 4. Their difference is roughly 11700MB for GEN 5 and 7500 for GEN 4. I, who have this PC for gaming and general tasks and anything that may come up, am sure that I won't notice the difference unless I was constantly transferring files between many NVMe drives because transfers to flash drives and external hard drives are limited by their speed.
Amazing motherboard and I wonder why it doesn't have a bunch of reviews!
The reasons I bought it:
1. Incredible build quality! Thick PCB, heatsinks everywhere and yes! it has a backplate, a feature that other manufacturers would charge 700+ euros for. It has countless heatsinks everywhere, be careful not to miss any!
2. It has an LED display for errors to easily troubleshoot.
3. It has very good compatibility with high-frequency RAM.
4. It has 6 (!) slots for NVMe and unlike other brands, 2 of them go through the processor for theoretically increased bandwidth. However, if you want to install 5th gen NVMe SSD, in the slot above the graphics card, the GPU bus will drop to 8x instead of 16x. This is not a design oversight by ASRock but a limitation of the Z790 chipset. However, there may be no performance loss in real conditions.
5. Countless ports for anything one might need.
It still has impressive RGB (personally I'm not interested) and a fan for the mosfets that is not audible. I have not yet noticed any coil whine, which is important to me.
The only negatives: it does not have a BIOS recovery system in case of accidents, like most high-end motherboards, and unfortunately in Greece, the ASRock warranty is for 2 years instead of the usual 3 years of the competition.
It was purchased for 318 euros and really has nothing to envy from Apex and similar models. It was paired with a 14600K and it would be overkill to go for anything more expensive. It remains and is considered high-end, despite the affordable price. I highly recommend it for now and will come back if I notice anything else.
I installed this RAM and it ran smoothly at 7200:

From a value for money perspective, it is difficult to find something better. Personally, I believe that ASRock has done a very good job in incorporating a plethora of features at a reasonable price. This motherboard provides many practical functions and not gimmicks, which make your life easier. In terms of temperature, I do not encounter any problems. It can accommodate both of the RX 6600 XT Red Devil cards that I have. The 4 RAM sticks operate at 6000MT/S in XMP Profile 1 (most motherboards operate between 3600 and 5400, depending on the memory, CPU, and motherboard). I replaced the WiFi/Bluetooth M.2 Key E card it comes with another one that is native to Apple for Hackintosh. The BIOS provides many functions, and someone who wants to overclock will not face any restrictions. An important feature for me is the 3 temperature headers that come with 3 cables with temperature sensors at the end, so you can place them directly on the components that interest you and adjust the fan curves accordingly. For those who have large cards, it provides an additional special bracket to keep it stable at the edge so it does not sag. It comes with several accessories, as well as an external antenna for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth. It also supports 14th generation CPUs out of the box, without the need for a BIOS upgrade first (although it is good to do it anyway). It has a wide range of supported memories, and the lanes provide high bandwidth with the CPU so that the XMP profile can synchronize the memories at the desired speed (it will likely be able to reach 8000MT/s even though it is not officially stated). Overall, I have no complaints, obviously there is always room for improvement, however, at €350, what it provides is more than enough.
