The Vomero 17 offers a flexible and soft stride that energizes every kilometer, providing a unique running sensation. The layered foam ensures top-level high responsiveness, helping you upgrade your performance with a shoe that will elevate your gear. With practical improvements across the surface, offering a new level of lightweight comfort and airflow, this shoe is aimed at road runners seeking the thrill of speed. Additionally, it offers a soft feel that will ensure absolute control of your stride, no matter the distance you run.
High-Performance Top Specifications
The higher the responsiveness the shoe offers, the greater energy return you can enjoy with every step. Whether you want to run a little faster or with a little less effort, high-response shoes offer a slightly more elastic feel with each step, allowing you to make the most of every run.
In the Vomero 17, Nike's shoe with the maximum elastic feel, your foot rests on a layer of ZoomX foam on the upper part, the lightest foam with the highest energy return in Nike Running. The lower part features soft foam for a dynamic yet smooth stride.
Support: neutral
The more supportive the shoe, the greater stability it can offer to your natural stride. The combination of optimized support and shock absorption at the right points ensures a stable feel with every step.
The Vomero 17 has neutral support. It offers the balance you need, whether you land on the ground first with your heel or the front part. It is also ideal for both long and short runs, as it ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe, enhancing your natural stride.
Fit and Feel
This shoe offers top-notch comfort for stride control, no matter the distance you run. Thanks to the special mesh weave, the upper part is lighter and more breathable compared to previous models in the Vomero series.
The soft inner sole ensures a comfortable fit from the moment you put on the shoe, while the soft collar provides a great feel at the heel when it's time to run.
The padded tongue and soft, elastic laces complete the exceptionally comfortable overall experience.
What's new in the Vomero 17?
Nike simplified the construction of the 17 by removing the Zoom Air unit from the front and placing top-quality ZoomX foam above the midsole to enhance the comfort provided by the cushioning.
The result is a softer and more stable stride.

They are very soft from the first moment. The shoe is intended for running but I walk in them quite a bit since I also stand for long periods, so after hours they get tiring like all shoes to a normal degree. I really like them for running. I had the Nimbus 25 and they tore at the front part while these are made of durable material like a plastic mesh and hold up very well. The only downside I can mention is the white color on the bottom part of the shoe which gets dirty easily and due to the soft material it looks like it is "crushed." I would buy them again.
My first 10km run made a very good impression on me.
Stuck on the Novablast, I decided to get something different.
They don't have the elasticity and return like the Novablast, but I believe that after a few kilometers they will break in.
Very good grip and quite lightweight.
The foot stays stable and there is also sufficient ventilation of the foot.
As for size, I am a 47, so I consider that they have a normal fit for most people.
I got them on sale for €90, so I thought I made a good purchase!
Although I had just gotten the Vomero 16, and shortly after the 17 was released, a store put them on sale for 79.99 euros, so I just set them aside until the 16s wore out. I had done the same with the previous ones. Like the entire Vomero line, these also fall into the Cushioning/Neutral category, meaning shock absorption. This particular shoe excels in that aspect, and the difference from the previous model is that the ZoomX technology runs the entire length of the shoe, while the previous one had ZoomX from the midfoot back and plain Zoom in the front. The cushioning is very substantial in the front as well, which is particularly convenient for those who land on the front part while running. It is so soft that I was afraid it would be unstable, but it turned out to be fine, although I have only run on tartan so far. It is a bit warmer than the 16 because the mesh has smaller holes, but not anything drastic. The laces don't seem to come undone easily like in the previous model. They also look nice. I got a couple of comments as well. Drop 10 again, which I like, and there is plenty of material in the sole; I think I read somewhere that the height of the material is at the limits of the regulations. And for walking, of course, I would recommend them if someone is looking for something very soft. They are not suitable for the fabric. Also, in response to a comment on the previous model: when you buy shoes, whether athletic or anything else, especially dark-colored ones, do not leave them on the balcony in a spot where the sun hits. It is logical that they will lose their color. That's it. If I see anything else, I will come back.
Edit 1: unfortunately, when I started using them intensively, they gave me blisters that bleed on my big toe. I believe it is because the upper front part that hugs the foot is stiffer than usual running shoes. If this continues, I will keep them only for coffee.
Edit 2: eventually, the above issue settled down. Another negative I find is that they are such soft shoes that anything you wear afterward will feel very hard.
Bought for 82 euros. Size 42.5, weighing 286 grams. These shoes can really run! I think they are a bit heavy, but they didn't bother me too much, besides the series is amazing. ZOOMX technology sole, which has very good shock absorption, a fairly soft sole and grip. Its responsiveness is very good and it helps a lot in running. Wearing the shoe, the fabric embraces the foot nicely without squeezing it, and with the elastic tongue, it holds the foot very well during walking! The fabric is lightweight, without quickly raising the temperature in the foot. It is the continuation of the series!
