24 V low-noise low-voltage precision motor and PCB assembly, equipped with a custom CNC-machined aluminum pulley.

Bottom support made of 3mm phenolic resin and top support made of phenolic resin with a metal coating. The 50th anniversary Planar 3 uses a lightweight laminated plinth reinforced with the double brace system. Specifically positioned where increased rigidity is required (between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing), this forms a structurally sound "reinforced beam" assembly.
