I have them only for 3 days, so I can't do a very in-depth review, but I have understood something so far. I come from galaxy buds2 pro, where I had them for 8 months, very satisfied, until the right earbud fell out of my ear and into a drain, so they're gone... I was thinking of buying the b2p again, but I saw that the FE came out, so after a lot of searching, I decided to take the plunge. My opinion will necessarily be in comparison to the buds2 pro, that is.
1) Case: Big downgrade from the b2p. You can feel the difference in your hand, same size but different materials. Glossy finish, which gives the feeling of being cheaper (of course, it fits more easily in tight pockets so... you win some, you lose some..) Also, the magnets of the b2p were much stronger, it was very satisfying to throw the earbuds in and with a nice "click" they would go to their place on their own and you would know they wouldn't move from there. The FE do something similar, but the "click" is not nearly as strong, to the point where I'm not always sure if they are in place or not. Also, the FE case does not have wireless charging, which personally doesn't bother me, as I never used it. (their battery is still better anyway... so charge them well with the cable, and they will last.). Overall, a small downside. They are earbuds, you don't get them for the case, it's just nice to have...
2) Fit: Pretty good fit in the ear. It's definitely different for everyone, as we all have slightly different ears, but at least for me I feel a greater sense of security compared to the b2p. Not a huge difference, but there is definitely a difference. It makes me feel better about it, if you think about why I don't have the b2p yet...
3) Sound: I was very afraid of this. Everyone on the internet says "of course the b2p have better sound" and blah blah blah. I don't know what to say. I prefer the FE... If you look at rtings where they have tested both models, you will see that the FE have a higher score in frequency response. Maybe the b2p are slightly better in the high frequencies, but if you don't have them side by side, you won't notice. Also, they have 100% better bass. I had the buds2pro with the eq setting "bass boost" or the "dynamic" which also boosts the lows, and the FE have better bass in normal mode... I tried the FE with a little bass boost, and I just burst out laughing, unbelievable bass for such small earbuds. Unfortunately, with the bass boost, the already slightly weak highs are lost, so I took it off (plus it's not for all music genres so much bass. Personally, I listen to a lot of classical music where sometimes the strong bass is nice (see double bass - trombones) but you definitely need strong and clear highs for violins, flutes, etc). I have them on normal and I am very satisfied. Very honest.
4) ANC: Maybe it's because they fit better for me, so they make a better seal in the ear. But for me, the FE definitely have better anc than the b2p... The b2p were my first earbuds with anc and I enjoyed them very much. But putting on the FE blew my mind... the b2p reduced the intensity of the noises, the FE makes them disappear!... Again, it may be different for everyone, because they will have a different fit in the ear. But for me there is no question at all.
5) etc..: They don't have 360audio. Personally, not a big deal. It's more of a gimmick than a serious feature. I tried it once or twice, and then I disabled it. It doesn't have voice detect. But again, big deal. It's not such a useful feature because it only recognizes your voice, not others'. So if someone comes to talk to you, you still can't hear them, and you have to tell them that you didn't hear them and ask them to repeat what they said, so that the headphones can hear you and switch to transparency mode for you to hear them... Well, it's not convenient, just manually switch to transparency mode when you see someone approaching. (Also, if you like to sing along with your music when you're alone, it's annoying because as soon as you start murmuring, it switches to transparency mode... so you disable the feature and continue with your life as you would with the FE...). Very strange, but I noticed this: they lose the signal if you wear other headphones on top! Sometimes when I'm at home, I would play a song on one earbud and wear my over-the-ear headphones for my computer on top (for reasons, I won't write why, because I'm already writing an essay...). The Buds 2+ played normally, but the FE disconnected... maybe something is happening with the magnets of the over-the-ear headphones? I don't know because even in the specs, it says they have Bluetooth 5.2 while the Buds 2+ have 5.3... I have no idea, and I suspect that this won't bother many people....
This is an introduction to the Buds FE. Overall, I recommend them 100%. I bought them with mixed feelings and many concerns, but they pleasantly surprised me.
-----UPDATE-----
In less than 2 months of use, the right earbud had a problem. Its volume dropped significantly (so there's a big difference between the left and right earbuds), and if you "squeeze" it, it starts distorting (there's an option in the settings to adjust the L/R balance. To make them have the same volume, you have to make a big change in this balance, around 75% to the right. Then the volume is the same in both earbuds, but a) the right one distorts and b) the maximum volume they can reach is much lower than before... So, the "journey" of dealing with Samsung's customer service begins (which works from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, which is the time I work, so I can't go... thank you, Samsung...).
I will update. I will consider anything less than a replacement as tragic.
----UPDATE 2----
After a long time, I finally managed to go to Samsung's service center. The communication with them was much easier than I expected, to be honest. I took them on Monday morning, and I could pick them up from Tuesday afternoon. The person there told me that the earbud probably got clogged. The truth is, I don't believe that something like that happened, for two reasons: a) I clean them frequently, I don't let them accumulate dirt, and b) its behavior didn't resemble that of a clogged earbud. I mean, the initial volume decrease happened suddenly and not gradually, it wasn't just a decrease in volume, but there was also distortion in certain frequencies, and even though I had stopped using it, after a few days of trying them again, the volume dropped again to the point where it barely whispered... So let's say, okay, it got clogged initially. Well, why did it worsen afterwards when there was no usage? Anyway, it doesn't matter because they told me what I suspected, that earbuds cannot be serviced but only replaced. They said the replacement is free only the first time... So in short, within 3 months, I am no longer covered by the warranty because if something happens again, I will have to pay... Not ideal... I hope they don't have any issues again, because I think otherwise they are really good headphones...
I'm still crying over my money. I bought them in January, I had the previous generation Samsung buds for 3 years and they left me very satisfied, but at some point after a lot of use they broke. However, I have had these for 8 months and they have disappointed me A LOT. For the past 2 months, the sound in the left one is extremely low (it's like nothing is playing, and in the mode where you hear what's happening in your surroundings, you can't hear anything) something I have now noticed in other reviews as well. But mine, if I press them somehow (e.g., if I lie on a pillow), the left one makes a very loud, deafening sound. There have been times when it does this out of the blue and I was completely startled. A bit off-topic, but I took them for service the first time they were fixed, but the second time they couldn't do anything. In short, don't buy them at all, it's wasted money.
The worst headphones I have ever bought. After a few months of use, the sound from the left is minimal and there's no mention of noise cancellation. Stay away
The active noise cancellation started to malfunction within a few days. At first, everything was perfect and the isolation was quite good. After about 4-5 days, suddenly one day, some frequencies started to come through, like the sound from the air conditioning, sounds from nearby keyboards, etc., which at first it blocked all of them. I made a return request and now I'm waiting... But for 60 euros and Samsung... I didn't expect them to break within a week (especially since I take care of them like the apple of my eye..)
I give it a 3 because my initial goal was to buy buds with good call quality. After reading hundreds of reviews, I ended up with this one that had the highest rating (close to 8/10). I rate the call quality 3/10. In all other aspects (noise cancellation, music quality, etc.), I rate it excellent!
I have had them since 7/24 purchased for 55 euros. I have had absolutely no issues so far. I operate them with S23 Ultra where they connect instantly. I have also tried them on the PC where they worked perfectly again. For podcast and music use, they are excellent (don't expect the sound quality of higher-end headphones). In calls, you can be heard crystal clear.
Sometimes they create interference in the sound, even in the wifi, especially if connected to a different brand mobile other than Samsung.
Unfortunately, I bought them convinced by the review from rtings. The fit in my ears is very poor with any tip from the package that I try. In music playback, some old Sony WF-XB700 that I have are much better. In calls, they can't hear me well, and in video calls on a computer, it's the same. Avoid them.
Purchase of 3 days. Coming from headphones up to 40€, as I never wanted to spend a lot of money on wireless earbuds, since I always lose them somewhere, I hesitantly decided to try something better in case my phone conversations are heard by my interlocutors. Fortunately, I hit the jackpot and then some.
The active noise cancellation is superb, you can feel the sound isolation even without listening to music. It works, of course, always on one earbud. The music sounds full and the sound performance is very strong even at half volume. They are worth every euro, quality construction and sound at another level. Convenient and they don’t fall out of the ears, as they fit snugly within the entire ear range.
I use them all the time. so comfortable and the noice canceling definitely does it's job. I use them almost all day and the battery has lasted me for about 6 days. Definitely a good product
Excellent sound, clear and with satisfactory bass. The ANC and Ambient Noise work flawlessly. I have a Samsung phone, so the connectivity is excellent. The quality of the case is amazing for the price and the headphones are just good. However, compared to similarly priced Bluetooth headphones, they have a low usage duration and need to be charged more often. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I haven't encountered any problems so far.
Well... I bought the headphones in May 2024 and within three months they broke 3 times, specifically 2 times the left earphone didn't sound at all in the music and barely in the diagnostic check while the same suddenly happened to the right earphone once. Additionally, the sound quality is terrible and makes voices sound more shrill. Really, don't waste your money on these headphones, they are not worth it, Samsung unacceptable!!!
THE STUPIDITY, within a 5-month period one of them doesn't work and the case opens very easily. I've lost them 2 times, fortunately the app helped a little. DO NOT BUY THEM, NOT EVEN FOR 55€, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT
best of all of them buy them cheap and they do a great job at nice canceling even at the metro with is an extreme test for them u should try them buy them now from this site
They broke in 2 months for no reason. The left one broke first and then I looked it up and others have the same problem. Don't buy them
They could have done better in terms of conversation because when you call someone, they can't hear you well if there is some external noise, and sometimes you can't hear the other person when they speak on the phone. Apart from that, they are quite satisfactory in terms of music. It's not something to get crazy about, but it has clear and pleasant sound. In terms of comfort, it depends on how they fit each person. Personally, they bothered me at first, but now there is no issue. I think they are quite decent for €60
In terms of sound quality and their use, i.e., stability in the ear, battery life, active noise cancellation, etc., they are good. They were purchased on 28/6 and 28/8, and they broke; they no longer charge since the charging port doesn't work. It's a shame, wasted money in less than two months...
For the money they cost, they are more than satisfactory... good bass especially for music perfectly... satisfactory and decent in calls... I think at such a price they are more than good and work fine for now...
The negative thing that I find is that they tire me when I wear them, but if you want them not to fall off, you will have to apply them well inside the ear.
I have been using the Galaxy Buds FE for over 2 weeks now and here are my thoughts. The Active Noise Cancellation really surprised me and I also really like the sound and call quality. Even in pairing, it was so easy on my Galaxy phone. However, the build quality was so terrible that the hinge of the case broke after dropping it once. So I would say they are good but not worth paying over 70€.
I was expecting something better, it concerns me a lot that it accepts calls with two contacts and many times it does not recognize the contacts and I am forced to accept the call from the mobile phone!
The sound quality is good, the connection is quite fast (I have a Samsung mobile). The ambient sound feature is awesome.
The rating was strictly based on personal experience, I haven't gone for a run to sweat and see if they hold up.
It is worth its money and more, very good sound quality with tremendous bass. Connectivity with s24 is tremendous, microphone is satisfactory in a noisy environment, the voice is not isolated at all. The battery lasts for 4 and something hours of heavy use.
The only negative thing so far is that sometimes one of the earbuds does not make good contact with the charging case and you need to be careful.
The charging on the left earbud broke on the second use and I returned it. Sound quality is very mediocre, bass is almost laughable for a Samsung product. Battery is also mediocre, doesn't last as long as advertised
I come from seinheiser tw2 which I still have and work fine. I got these purely for calls in the office. While all the sites have them rated higher than the tw2, when I compared them with about ten songs, I burst out laughing. There on the rating sites you get fooled... Of course, the tw2 are clearly superior. I didn't care much about this, I just wanted to express it so the consumer knows what they are buying. Essentially, you are buying a good Samsung product of medium quality, with excellent integration with Samsung mobile and very comfortable for long hours of use. The tw2 are not for many hours.
The best by far!!!!!!
For calls, they don't work. No matter what setting I try, the person I'm talking to can't hear me clearly. Whether in the office or outside. Whether on a laptop or connected to s23fe. Thankfully, I got them on sale for half the price with the purchase of the phone... If you only want them for music, gaming, etc., they're fine.
