Description
You are always connected, even when the internet is down.
Switch to a 4G LTE Cat7 mobile backup network when broadband internet goes out, so you can stay online without interruptions.
Fast & efficient.
Your Internet will never let you down again.
Interruptions can happen at any time, but we designed the DWR-960 to eliminate them entirely with D-Link's Failover technology.
When your Internet Service Provider experiences technical difficulties, the DWR-960 will take action by switching from fixed-line Internet connection (Fiber/Cable/DSL) to mobile data via 4G LTE - so you can continue working, playing, or watching as usual.
Ideal for areas with limited or no access to fixed internet.
It is ideal for hard-to-reach areas where fixed-line Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are unreliable or unavailable. Insert the 4G SIM card and let your network and all your devices be powered by 4G mobile data.
With two high-performance external antennas to ensure a strong, reliable 4G LTE connection, the DWR-960 provides the strongest possible connectivity to multiple devices simultaneously - allowing you to stream, play, or work without worrying about buffering, disconnections, or interference.
Two firewalls for superior protection.
Includes built-in dual-action firewalls (SPI and NAT) to protect against malicious attacks. The latest WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption helps keep your wireless network secure and your traffic safe, preventing unauthorized users from accessing your network.

Reviews
After 3 months of using it with a Cosmote Giga Max Unlimited SIM.... frequent disconnections, especially on the 5GHz. With a camera that was connected, when it suddenly disconnected, it never connected again (I was away on vacation). Many times, even when I am connected to the router, I don't have access to the internet and it requires a restart. Overall, it is mediocre. The purchase was for 55 euros

Did you find this review helpful?I saw it on sale, so I decided to buy it, thinking that the company might change the model and offer the old one at a good price to get rid of it. However, I was wrong. The only positive thing about it is the menu. Other than that, it constantly disconnected and rarely had a signal in the same spot where I placed the router. I even tried locking the channel for a more stable signal, but it didn't make any difference. I tried factory resetting it, hoping it would unlock, but it was no use. It's not worth it, guys. I wasted 55 euros for nothing

Did you find this review helpful?Overall, I am completely disappointed with the device and the technical support/service of D-Link in Greece.
The device I purchased was defective. It has limited and basic settings, and the internet selection between the router and 4G modem seems to be "broken" and only works when it changes to anything else. The worst part is that the web interface shows that it can only connect up to 10 devices via WiFi.
I bought this router on 15/11/2023, inserted a Cosmote SIM card (I had removed the PIN), it worked for a while and then stopped. I changed the internet settings and it started working again. I changed the SSID of WiFi4 and it stopped working. Even after numerous resets and turning WiFi4 on and off, it still didn't work.
My problem is that the D-Link technical service was non-existent in Greece. Initially, I spoke to them over the phone in November and they told me to either bring it to Michalakopoulou (if I remember correctly) or take it to the store where I purchased it for them to send it. I took it to the store a few days after the purchase as DOA (dead on arrival), they sent it to D-Link, and then gave it back to me because "no problem was found."
However, the problem persisted. I exchanged emails with D-Link's global technical service for a week and they told me to send it for repair. I called D-Link's technical service in Greece and their phone was not working for a week!
I sent it back again through the store where I purchased it, along with a printout of the emails from my communication with D-Link. Today, 02/02/2024, the service sent me a DWR-960 instead of the DWR-960W, which so far seems to be working much better.

Did you find this review helpful?Bought for 55€ with Cosmote unlimited. I frequently experience disconnections on the wifi. I returned it to the store where I bought it to send it back to the company. They replaced it with a new one, but I won't be using it. I wouldn't recommend it. Don't waste your money on something problematic from the start.
I have a tp-Link mr-600 which is much superior.

Did you find this review helpful?Good little router with good range and easy installation. The only issue I encountered was that even though I inserted the SIM card and it immediately had signal, I didn't have access to the internet. To solve this, in the case of a Vodafone SIM card, I had to enter the word "internet" in the APN selection during setup.
