Martin Schwartz, an undercover police agent, lost his wife and son five years ago while they were traveling on the cruise ship "Sultan of the Seas," and no one was able to tell him exactly what happened.
Since then, Martin has been a wreck, trying to forget his pain by participating in deadly dangerous secret police missions. During one such operation, he receives a phone call from a strange elderly woman who claims to be a thriller writer. She tells him that he must board the "Sultan" as there is evidence regarding what happened to his loved ones.
Martin never intended to set foot on a ship again, but he eventually does. Thus, he learns that a girl who had disappeared from the cruise ship a few weeks ago has reappeared – and in her arms, she was holding his son's teddy bear…

It kept me awake to finish it, but at some points it was written too simply. The plot is interesting.

Stunning!!! With this book, I complete the cycle called Fitzek as I have read them all. I can say that this is one of the best. Easy to read with a nice plot that doesn't make you bored at all.
Generally, I am "difficult" with books, usually giving up on them after the first 20-30 pages. This is the first time I am reading Fitzeck and I would say I am more of a fan of other genres such as fantasy, sci-fi, etc. I read the 470 pages in less than 48 hours.
