The TU550 is smaller than many other phones. However, the clear icons on the large 2.8-inch color screen and the central touch menu button allow quick access to key functions such as messages and the camera.

Good device for the elderly, the big downside is its side buttons as they are low at the height where you hold the phone, resulting in many cases when you go to pick up the phone that they get pressed and the volume lowers or the flashlight turns on... The menu is nothing special with some functions needing to be searched for.
For an elderly person, I had the Panasonic KX-TU160 for about a year. I upgraded to the Panasonic KX-TU550. It is truly excellent and indeed an upgrade.
The positives:
*Durable
*Large buttons that you can't accidentally press something wrong
*It is 4G and since the provider supports VoLTE, you get significantly better sound both in receiving and sending
*Nice charging dock
*Essential for me, it has 2 charging ports. One for the dock and one with a USB type C cable.
The negatives:
*The battery needs charging every 3-4 days. A minor issue
*In order to recognize incoming calls and display the name, you must save it with +30. If you then call a saved number without +30, it won't find it in the directory. So you have to save all numbers twice. With +30 and without +30.
*The letters on the screen could be larger. They are fine as they are, of course.
For me, out of many phones I have bought for the elderly, this one is the best in all aspects. It is also one of the most expensive on the market in its category.
*Note that like all new phones, according to European law, it does not come with a charger in the package.
Very good in everything, but unfortunately, the screen broke in six months. However, it was within the warranty, and the company's service replaced it at no cost. The company, store, and shipping responded perfectly within a few days!
It is very good for elderly people. Very good build quality. Very good sound quality. Large buttons and a large screen. It has a converter and Bluetooth. The negatives are that the phone number in all your contacts must be entered with +30 for it to recognize it in missed calls. Also, the number of characters in contacts is limited...19 characters and the person's icon cannot be added to all contacts.
Based on the fact that it is aimed at the elderly, its positive elements include the size of the device, the active "lid" for answering and ending an incoming call, relatively good battery, good strong sound and signal, large buttons and extras (SOS button, LED flashlight, radio). The negatives are the extremely small font size that CANNOT be adjusted as in its predecessor that it replaced. Also, the standby autonomy was reduced again compared to the previous version (probably due to 4G).
It was purchased for an elderly person. The handling is very good. It has large letters and the front screen is very helpful for notifications. Its camera is indifferent. It has an SOS button and also a flashlight button by pressing a side one.
For anyone who wants a mobile phone for an elderly person, it is highly recommended.
One (-) for me is that it does not have a charger. On the plus side, it has a charging base which is very convenient for this age group.
Two phones were purchased in black and blue color.
From what is circulating in the market, it is the best for use by the elderly. Expensive but it is the only one that has quality. It has durability if it falls down (it will fall for all the elderly), it has clear calls, very good battery, easy Greek menu, large letters, quick calls, a light on the cover to find it. I have bought a bunch of other phones for €20 and €50 for my parents, wasted money. But the phones would fall from their hands on the couch and break, some you couldn't hear anything, some didn't have Greek language, some the battery would only last until noon with a few calls, and in another one the battery inflated, the cover wouldn't close and we had to tie it with gauze. A small disadvantage with the charger, it only has the cable, it doesn't have the plug. But there will always be one at home
The mobile phone is mainly aimed at the elderly and people who do not have specific demands from a mobile phone. It has a 2.8-inch color screen and a 1.2 MP camera. It also has an emergency call button. Its battery lasts for more than 2 days. Overall, it is a very good basic mobile phone.
