I have been using this cream since my dermatologist told me that I have seborrheic dermatitis and recommended it to me. For the past 8 years that I have been applying it morning and night on my face, I have not had any peeling or red spots except when I stop using it for 1-2 days, when the problem starts to return.
I bought it after a recommendation from the dermatologist for seborrheic dermatitis. I was skeptical and didn't use it daily, until one day I was constantly peeling on my cheeks and between my eyebrows. I decided to give it a chance and my face calmed down! Now I have one at home and one at work!
Well... seborrheic dermatitis. And if I have tried products and ointments... Pimples between the eyebrows, in the hair follicles and not only, are created by the oiliness of the skin. Ointments and soaps, sometimes irritated them and sometimes dried them out, causing damage to the already troubled skin. With this specific ointment, I noticed the following, it may leave a slight oiliness but it soothes the skin and reduces redness and swelling. From the second day, a slight improvement is noticeable.
Update 17.11.23 I stopped using it... in the end, the oiliness it leaves doesn't help much with already oily skin.
I have been using it for years for seborrheic dermatitis between my eyebrows and on my nose, and I am completely satisfied. I apply it every day after showering
For the past 17 years, I have been struggling with seborrheic dermatitis. During these years, I have visited over ten dermatologists and have tried everything available on the market, both corticosteroid-based and non-corticosteroid-based. The last one recommended this specific cream in combination with the biotrin shampoo for the scalp. I haven't had any flakes or redness since then! Amazing product.
I don't want to be unfair, because in seborrheic dermatitis, each product works differently, making it difficult to find a solution. However, for me, when used around the nose and eyebrows, this product had absolutely no results.
Reevaluation: I tried it again when the other creams stopped working, and this time it had better results. The smell is still not good, but at least it worked for the redness and dry skin.
Every person's case is different, and the fact that certain things work for me does not necessarily mean that you should take similar actions. I say this as I begin my review to avoid any misunderstandings.
I purchased the cream after several failed attempts to combat seborrheic dermatitis. The last one I bought was La Roche Posay Kerium DS. Despite the excellent reviews here on skroutz, it basically did nothing for me.
As for my case, I am a man and recently had a lot of flaking on my chin (very intense), on my "mustache," and a little on my eyebrows, accompanied by redness. So, after a week, the cream not only significantly reduced the symptoms I described but also helped eliminate the redness!
The packaging states to use it 1-2 times daily, but I used it up to 4 times initially, always after cleansing with a shampoo (APIVITA - Celery & Propolis). By the way, I bought this specific shampoo due to dryness on my scalp (seborrheic dermatitis and dryness on the scalp go hand in hand), but I also use it for rinsing in the mentioned areas. It's a good product too.
My own experience showed that the ointment works effectively but not immediately in the "difficult areas," so have a little patience (hence my 4 stars). Men, if you have a problem in similar areas, it would be good to keep your facial hair at a fairly low level (imagine 2-3 days unshaven) for a certain period.
Overall, I am very satisfied. I will buy it again.
If a solution cannot be found, your first move should be to visit a dermatologist. Otherwise, if you have the financial means, try some products (not corticosteroids). There must be something that will work for you. Note that some over-the-counter ointments like "Histoplastin Red" work wonders, even though they are considered general-purpose. That's it.
Chronic problem with Seborrheic Dermatitis, finally found a solution (after being desperate all these years). I had even done laser treatments without any results. It has a thick texture and is a bit difficult to spread. The intense redness I had and the peeling I was facing are gone!!! I highly recommend it.
