I also have the Move 1, the difference in sound is very significant in favor of the Move 2. Especially if you find it on sale (which happens quite often), I recommend it!

I have a Sonos Roam and the Move 2. Both were purchased on sale, the first for €120 from Germanos and the second for €300 from Plaisio. First, I must say that the connection with the iOS mobile app is not "self-evident"; very often the app does not see the speakers and you need to refresh the network settings. Also, the sound of the Move 2 does not impress me. You would expect it to be more refined and have more options to adjust it (it only has bass & treble). Especially considering that it has a starting price of €500, no my friend, you expect something better. Unfortunately, these speakers are not available in store displays for you to hear them up close. Nor, of course, their equivalents. The fact that they have Wi-Fi is their strong point as you can play radio and forget about the connection with your mobile. Also, on the positive side, with one cable you can connect your amplifier to the Move 2 to listen to CDs, tapes, or anything you can't put on your mobile. For outdoor use, due to their strong volume and durability, they are very good! If I had bought the Move 2 for €500, I would be crying! The Roam I can say has satisfied me more for the job you want it to do.

Wonderful from start to finish. A little complicated the first setup but afterwards it is easy to use and incomparable in sound.

Apart from the weight for transportation, the best speaker to have outside the house. And indoors, a very good ecosystem with the rest of the Sonos.
